Chapter Eighteen

I left the bridal store without my dress. The consultant said they didn’t have another dress like that in white the only other color they had was blue and I knew my mother would never let me get married in a blue gown. Then I thought about how I hadn’t told my mother I was getting married in less than two months.

I couldn’t go home after that so I met up with Lilly at a café to vent. She wished she had my life and all its drama. I would gladly trade places and become a stable accountant with a predictable yet safe life.

“By the way. I will pay you back Lilly. I just need a little time.” I said, digging into my ice cream.
