I fell, my body crashing to the ground. The impact was like a slap in the face, jolting me awake. Groaning, I struggled to push myself upright, my head throbbing as if it were about to split open. Where was I?

Blinking away the haze that clouded my vision, I took in my surroundings. This wasn't the same room I was being held hostage earlier. This room was dimly lit, the only source of light a flickering bulb dangling from the ceiling. Cold, grey stone walls closed in around me, and the musty scent of damp earth filled the air.

Panic clawed at my chest as I realized I was bounded, ropes biting into my wrists with every futile attempt to free myself.
