Chapter 18 Having a child

Bella had been feeling quite frustrated lately, with one thing after another happening ever since Calvin's inexplicable suggestion of divorce. Apart from the lurking temptresses outside, she found herself bombarded with calls from elders showing their concern. Now, with work deadlines looming, Bella's mother decided to call. Trying to multitask, Bella occasionally responded while secretly hoping her mother would hang up soon, as her chatter was mostly empty words.
