Chapter 6

Robert and Luchy still can't believe that Stefan is now able to carry out normal activities like other people in general.  The two people were busy asking each other, what kind of miracle had come so that the sad brother-in-law could speak fluently and be told around.

"Has he been possessed by a genie in this house?"  asked Luchy with a grin.

"Could be, Dick.  He often daydreams.”

"How about we work on him?"  asked Luchy who was enjoying his breakfast in the dining room.

"May also.  It's been a few days since we've had enough entertainment at home,” agreed Robert.

Robert and Luchy got up and went to the side yard of the house.  They saw Stefan watering the plants.

"Monkey, please fetch the guava!"  ordered Luchy who was ready with his school clothes.

Stefan was dumbfounded.  He looked up.  “Luchy, the fruit isn't ripe yet.  It's still green," Stefan evaded doubtfully.

“Seriously you know ripe or unripe fruit?  Can you tell the difference between red and green?”

Stefan nodded.  "You'll get a stomach ache if you eat the fruit."

Robert, who is six years younger than Stefan, pats Stefan on the shoulder.  “Climb that tree.  Get the top fruit."

Without thinking anymore, Stefan quickly climbed up the trunk of a three-meter tall guava tree, then continued to climb to the very top of the branch.  Stefan had a bit of trouble reaching the top fruit because the leaves were so dense.

Luchy, a 12th grade high school boy, ran into the house and screamed hysterically, “Father, Mother, Stefan hasn't recovered yet.  Look at him in the side yard!”

Bobby and Cynthia rushed over.  Seeing Stefan hanging out, the husband and wife were shocked.

"O monkey!"  howled Bobby.  "Who told you to climb a tree ha?"

"The fruit isn't ripe, you idiot!"  howled Cynthia winced.  “Hurry down!  Later you fall, we are also in trouble."

Liony was surprised.  What's the commotion out there?

"Good grief!  Stefan, come down!”  he screamed.

Robert and Luchy quickly escape on their motorcycles.  The two men giggled while pulling hard on the gas of their motorcycle.

Finally Stefan slowly came down.  He took out a small and still very green guava from his trouser pocket.  Stefan glanced around.  "Where's Robert?  I want to give this to him."

Bobby shook his head.  “Apparently you're pretending to be cured, Stefan.  I will order your medicine again later.  This time you finished off two hundred seeds.”

Cynthia is annoyed.  "If you're on duty in the yard, hurry up and get in.  Dishes and dirty clothes are waiting.”

Bobby walked away and left this stupid son-in-law.  Likewise his wife, it's better to go straight to the market early in the morning instead of dealing with this madman.

Lionny approached Stefan.  "Honey, you shouldn't have to do this."

 “Luchy and Robert...”

"That's enough.  I just believed that you're feeling better, but instead you're throwing a tantrum again.”

"I am sorry, dear.  I just want to prove it to your two younger siblings.”

Before leaving, Stefan received a special message from his mother-in-law.

“Bring lots of money!  So I can buy medicine!”

Stefan started the engine of his motorcycle, then said goodbye.

"Stefan wait.  For your lunch," Lionny gave him a black plastic bag, there was also mineral water.

Stefan left with enthusiasm even though the scars on his heart continued to grow and increase.

In the kitchen while cooking, Cynthia was angry with her child.  "Why did you make lunch for him, Lionny?"

Lionny replied softly, "I feel sorry for him, Mom."

“You see.  He hasn't recovered yet, has he?"

Lionny didn't answer, because if she did, the debate would get longer.  Every day a sentence sounded hot in her ears about her divorce from Stefan.  Lionny's parents had agreed that she would rather get a divorce than live in a bad way.

However, Lionny still has a heart.  Her affection for her husband and the provocations from her family are like two opposing energies.  When she obeyed her heart, at that moment there was a dark tinge that stabbed at her heart so she became ambiguous, confused about which path to choose.

 ***

It's a hot day.  But the shady trees around Kambang Iwak Park provide shade.  The ripples of the lake water in the middle there are really pleasant to hear.  There are one or two people running to burn calories on the jogging track.

 "Let's eat together, John!"

"Please, Stefan.  I'm still waiting for the cash order.  I'll buy packaged rice later when I get it."

"Not necessarily you are given a cash order.  It's almost two o'clock now.  What time do you want to eat?  Come on!"

 Stefan halves his fried rice.

"Wife's cooking?"  asked John as he ate heartily.

 "Yes.  Are you still single?"

“He-e.”  John had a bit of difficulty speaking because his mouth was filled with rice.

 “Get married.  Let someone cook."

"I want to save a lot first.  There is a story my friend.  One year of marriage.  Almost every day he is bothered by his parents-in-law because his income is minimal.  Reasonable.  He's just a construction worker."

“That's the risk if you have a family, especially if you ride with me.  So just be patient."

Poor John.  He is the first child of four siblings.  He has to support his widowed mother and three younger siblings who are still in school.  While his mother was selling small pempek in front of their rented plot.

If orders are low, John is sometimes forced to owe close friends to cover the daily expenses of the family.  It was enough for John to submit various kinds of job applications but to no avail.

So the only way to make a living is to rely on online motorcycle taxis.  Even though he is thirty-two years old, eight points away from Stefan's age, the steps taken by John in delaying marriage are very appropriate.

Plus, John's three younger siblings are all girls, in third grade of junior high school, sixth grade of elementary school, and one more in first grade of elementary school.  The three of them could be counted on to help their mother sell, that's all.  John became the backbone of the family in difficult times.

John told me that he once wanted to be a hacker!

The more exciting their chat, the later the afternoon, the quieter the orders.  Today Stefan only got three orders and John did the same, three.  Not only them, other drivers also feel the same way, not as gacor as before.

"John, are there drivers still using mods, fake GPS, nuyul and the like?"

“Service providers now have a more sophisticated system.  It's not like before, people cheat so they can gacor.  The problem is if you use dirty methods, it will be immediately detected, then the account will be immediately suspended."

"If I make your account gacor, it can be up to thirty orders a day without being suspended, do you want it?"

"Without suspension?  Definitely will.  I owe a lot now, Stefan, and I have to pay for it all.”

 "Are you serious?"

"Want to.  But it's impossible to go undetected."

Stefan smiled.  "You take it easy."  Stefan will design a program to hack his account.  Just see tomorrow.

When he got home at nine in the evening, Stefan was bombarded with all kinds of ridicule because today he still couldn't live up to their demands.

Stefan is still patient, wait for tomorrow.  He was about to test his skills again.
