I was against the idea of leaving the hospital while Nick was still there but Nigel chose that we go to the station. Romans had told me to take some time off and heal. I had scoffed because he was partly right. I needed to heal but the main reason was that I was too close to the case. Nigel knew I needed to be on this case so when he asked we leave for the station I agreed.
We were in the briefing room and Nigel was on the drawing board as I sat on the chair watching him work on the case. Romans had assigned Nigel to lead the case of Adam’s kidnapping and reopen Frank and Olivia Turner’s death.

James I could feel my body aching when I shifted. I winced and opened my eyes and noticed I had fallen asleep on the chair in the hospital. This was the third night I hadn’t slept in my own bed.
