Chapter 20-The truth

“Speak!” Travis ordered the man authoritatively while holding the gun tightly.

“My name is Cyrus, sir.”

Travis furrowed his eyebrows and remembered where he had first heard that name. A few moments later he lowered the pointed gun at the man.

“How can I be sure that you are the detective I ordered before?”

“It is not unknown to you that I was involved in the fall of Ben’s car in a cliff. There is no one else who knows I’m still alive, especially your family.”

His eyebrows furrowed even more because Cyrus clearly did not trust his brother and stepmother.

“Sir, before you had an accident, you didn’t even trust your family. The fact that you hired me to investigate a woman you had a one-night stand with is the proof.”

“Then I really sent you to find that woman to marry?”
