"Sir, Mrs. Black is on her way to your office. Should I send her in or..." Hendrick paused and gauged my reaction. He couldn't risk his job by disrespecting the Boss's wife but currently I wasn't in a mood to see or talk to anyone.

My meeting with Evangeline went off the track. That wily woman crushed all my positive hopes to be with my son without any tricks and hostility.

"Sir?" Hendrick called out my name again to grab my attention.

"Send her in." I sighed pinching the bridge of my nose.

He nodded his head and left.

Evanca returned from her trip late night. I spent the whole night in my home office and she must be probably exhausted from the journey that we didn't see each other even at the breakfast table.
