‘You have seen us, now tell us why you are here.’ The man said out of impatience.

‘Well sir, I happened to be James’ friend. And, recently I’ve not been well and I don’t have anybody that can help me so I felt it wouldn’t be a bad idea if I come to seek for help. I need to go to the hospital, sir.’ She said as she lifted her eyes that she inadvertently kept down while she was talking.

‘Look at it, darling. A girl comes from nowhere and demands for money. How do we know you are not lying?’ Mrs. Coker retorted.

‘No ma’am, I’m not lying; I believe I’m decent enough to be doing such a thing.’

‘And that’s why I’m saying that a young girl with your looks shouldn’t be doing such a cheap thing,’ she snarled.

‘Your types come and blackmails one and would want to be given some money.

My lord, just look at her,’ gesticulating towards Nma with her hands.

‘Look at her, don’t be surprised she may be telling us now in the next few minutes that she is pregnant for James, gold-digger.’
