"AND DON'T TELL me to shut up, when you know you talk too much....", Jared and Jamie were having the time of their lives as they sang along to the Post Malone song; Goodbye that rang in their ears from the earphones they had on. Their loudly toned voices filled the atmosphere, drawing the attention of students on the same floor as they were but in different rooms. They were oblivious of the noise that was protruding from them as a result of the earphones buried into their ears. The only thing they could hear at the moment was the soothing music emanating from the earphones they had on, throbbing their different ear drums and they screamed along. "Jamie, I think someone is knocking", Jared said, hastily taking off his earphones. He thought he heard a knock on the door and wanted to confirm by taking his earphones off. Nevertheless, he told Jamie but Jamie wasn't paying attention. Having taken off the earphones, he heard the banging on the door more clearly this time. "Jamie, someon
HENRY HIT THE freestanding white board with a cane to draw everyone's attention and it had an immediate effect. The noise that protruded from the objects captured the attention of everyone in the room. He grabbed one side of the board, pushed it away from the wall before swiveling it around to reveal the backside. It was a corkboard plastered with diagrams and notes. A map covered nearly the entire board with some locations circled with red ink and red dots littered over the map while the other parts of the board were occupied with photographic prints. One was a man and the other was a building. "What does it all mean?", Sarah finally blurted after minutes of trying to figure out what the map and pictures insinuated. "This is our first mission", Henry replied as he pointed the cane at the picture of the building. He hesitated as he peered into the faces of everyone staring at the map or probably him. "First mission?", Ian asked, his voice deeply pitched and a scowl on his face
ALFRED MADE SURE every guardian was brought to book for camping in the forest without taking proper permission, gambling with their lives in the name of fun. All though, he was quite dazzled by Jared who was able to bring a spirit animal under his control but nevertheless, he made sure he was sent to the conventry. At first, Alex refused to punish them because there was no footage regarding Alfred's claims but when they owned up to their crimes, he was left with no choice than to quarantine them all. He felt Alfred might just be taking things too far but at the same time not too far because it's actually the law of the institution. Alex had an odd feeling, probably a feeling of impending doom but he couldn't come to a conclusion. Just as he sat on the chair, facing the security monitor, something caught his eye. He leaned closer to the screen to get a better view, squinting his eyes and immediately, he pushed the red button on the monitor table that sent alarms blaring. "Are y
JARED WATCHED As the two opposing teams collided with each other like two rams engaging in the fight of locking horns. The fight wasn't going as planned but it was fair enough. The lady with the sword had jumped so high over Ruby before she could reach her. He had not seen anything relating to the woman being able to oppose the law of gravity for few seconds when he surfed through her mind. It was probably because of the boots she was wearing and she would have been a perfect match for Santiago since he could jump high also. Jamie paused as his opposition was no where to be found before he closed up on him. Something struck him from behind and he fell on his face. The only person that seemed to be in serious competition with his opposition was Santiago. Ian underestimated Santiago not knowing his ability was super-strength and he was a martial art expert. "Hit me", Ian said to Santiago as they closed up on each other. Santiago held a fist and swung at Ian's face. It hit him
AFTER HENRY'S ENCOUNTER with Jared, he headed straight to where he could find Lily Bradley, the owner of the fortress and also his mother whom he had helped kill his father. He would never forget the expression of shock and betrayal on his father's face before he died. Zoe had told him not to kill anyone anymore but the more he approached his mother's den—when she was with his father, she was referred to as the lioness because of her vast skill in martial arts even though she had no extraordinary abilities. The more he felt his blood raging with anger at his mother for tricking him into killing his father. He opened the door and she was sitting right behind a large table. He could remember the table clearly. He was taught school work on that table. Her legs were crossed like she was waiting for him and a smile was on her face. The truth was that, Lily had been waiting for him and her wait had not just started today, but ever since he left. She knew he'd come back one day raging
JARED RUSHED TO the laboratory as soon as darkness overshadowed the earth. He had remembered Hay; the A.I Alex had created for him. Hay probably had answers to most of his questions, if not all. He had a strong feeling that Alex created Hay to be a computerized version of himself. The Laboratory lights were off and it was extremely dark. "Hay, lights on". Jared said and hoped for a reply. After few seconds, the lights came on and Jared felt lissed. "Welcome Jared", the computerized voice said and Jared realized he was not totally wrong. If not anything else, Hay's voice was a replica of Alex's voice. The laboratory felt empty without Alex in it. Jared had never been to the laboratory and it was void of Alex's presence. He knew he was going to miss him badly. As he thought of Alex, flashes of his dead father appeared in his head and he heaved a sigh. The room was clean now. The puddle of blood and the splatters were all washed away. Alex's body had been put away and the lar
"Are you for real?", Wong asked. Everything was going too far and seemed to be intertwined. "This is unbelievable", Dawn added. She was in total shock just like every guardian except for Jamie."How do you know this?", Santiago asked, his eyebrows raised. "I have a picture of him with Mrs Bradley in my room in between a magic book", Jared replied. "He is right. I've seen it too". Jamie supported the notion of his friend. It wasn't even just a notion it was reality. "What?", He frowned as he noticed all eyes were fixed on him. "How did you know?",Jared asked. "I never remembered showing you anything like that". "Jar, that picture, that book had been there before you arrived and I've heard the name Henry a couple of times long before you arrived but i had no idea he was Mrs Lily's son. Jamie spoke about him to me few times but he never mentioned that he was Mrs Lily's son?". Jamie replied Jared's question and every eye fixed on him seemed to be satisfied with the answer he had give
"Really Jared, this is your decision?", Jamie asked, totally disappointed that his friend thought leaving was the best idea. Jared heaved a sigh as he tucked the last set of folded clothes neatly into his duffel bag. "Yes, Jamie", he replied without looking at his friend and pretending to be concentrating on the clothes he was stuffing into his bag. He could tell Jamie was disappointed but to him, leaving is the best thing to do with Alex gone and Mrs Lily emotionally downcasted, it wasn't the only reason though. "You are just going to leave? You are going to let Alex's murderer get away? That's so not fair", Jamie said again, hoping he'd convince him. Jared zipped his bag before raising his head to look at Jamie. "No offence Jamie but Alex murdered someone and that's not fair either". Jared said and raised the cloth-stuffed bag to his back before walking to the door. "Jared", Jamie called out to him as he reached for the door knob. "I don't know what else to say to you
