"That's enough, Miguel!" again I interrupted him, my voice firm, "Nothing happened to us. Now I am leaving."

"But that clearly happened. Everything just now was real."

I did not know why, but I actually saw a hint of pleading in Miguel' eyes. He seemed to need me to affirm him, and he wanted to hear me tell him that I did indulge in that kiss just now.

"What did you take me for?" I resisted the urge to comfort Miguel and forced myself to think about the brunette who had walked out of his room, "You are the one who rejected me as your mate yourself, and you are the one who called me Miss Liar, and now you want to make up for all your mistakes with two kisses? Do I look that cheap?"

"I did not ..." Miguel looked at me intently, as if he could not understand why I would say that, "I did not mean it that way."
