BLAIR'S POV CONTINUES

Steven followed behind Brian. He had bandages on his head and his arms.

I was delighted to see him, but had to fight the urge to rush to him with a hug.

My heart was at peace with Stephen, not only because Brian trusted him, he seemed like a very nice and courageous guy, even though we hadn't been personally involved in a lot of conversations.

“I'm so sorry,” I said to Brian, leading him by the hand to the bathroom.

I washed his wound with the hose shower in the bathroom, apologizing as often as I could.

“It's okay,” Brian said.

“We might have to stitch this,” he said, staring at his arm, “it's a deep cut,” he added.

I sunk further into sadness, realizing that he was right. It was a deep cut, and the blood coming out of it would not stop gushing.

“I am so sorry, Brian,” I said for the umpteenth time in twenty minutes.

“It's okay, I'm proud of you,” he said.

My eyes widened in shock.
