Chapter 12: Confrontation
"Hey Jaden, it seems you and your dad are very close, right?" Joey asked as he helps Jaden to unpack his clothes in the mini-room.
"Yeah, we are!" Jaden continues arranging his clothes into his wardrobe.
"How I wish my dad, is just like yours!" Joey scoffed.
"Why would you say that?" Jaden sounds surprised.
"My dad detests me so much because my mom, was one of his mistresses," Joey replied, and his face went blank.
"Oh, so sorry to hear about that!" Jaden turned to look at his face, and he could see how sad he is.
"You don't have to be sorry Jaden... I've gotten used to him, getting irritated by me. At least, my mom is always there for me." Joey's face instantly brightened up.
At the mention of "Mom", Jaden's expression changed. He also wished deep down to have a mom, who cares about him.
"So, tell me, what power do you possess?" Joey stopped what he was doing, and stared at him.
"Huh, I was told I'm a vampire..." Jaden
