The Proposal

Diane's POV

Sophie made me put on one of the only bodycon dresses I had with a shimmering material. I felt it was too much for a baby's party but she made me wear it and pushed me inside her car.

"Smile a little bit, it's not the end of the world, you look amazing!" She said with her hands clutching the steering wheel.

I rolled my eyes and turned to the window.

"Aww, your makeup is amazing!" She commented as she pulled up the street.

"And very unnecessary Sophie," I hissed.

She kissed her tongue to her teeth and stole a glance at me. "One day, you will thank me for all the heartache I go through for you," her tone was serious but I knew she was just playing around.

I ignored her and focused on the large houses that flew past us as we moved deeper into the serene street.

The street lights were decorated almost like chandeliers. The bright white light illuminated the street.
