You Have A Mate Now

Nalya's pov

My heart was pounding in my chest when the trunk opened, and I shut my eyes, trying to tame my heartbeat. The scent of that alpha invaded my nose. I didn't know how I recognized it, but I did. It was enticing to me, and I inhaled deeply.

"Is she dead?" I heard a soft feminine voice ask.

"No," that voice sounded familiar, it belonged to the alpha, it was low yet dominating, and oozed power, it sent trembles down my spine.

"How did she get in our trunk?"

"Should we take her back?"

My eyes immediately shot open at the mention of taking me back, and two cold blue ones were staring right at me. His unwavering gaze despite being cold did something funny to me, and my cheeks reddened.

Had any man looked so beautiful? I thought. I watched as his chest rose and fell, my heartbeat skyrocketed once again as we watched each other intensely.

 " Take my hand, darling,"

I tore my gaze from the alpha when the female with honey-colored skin and beautiful curly hair extended her hand towards me, helping me out of the trunk. She wiped my hands with a white towel.

"Thank you," I whispered.

"Why were you sleeping in the trunk?" she asked, her friendly face made me feel alleviation.

"I didn't know what else to do. I don't know the roads that lead to the nearest train station," I admitted, looking at my hand.

"Kid, are you going home? If you wanted a ride, you could have just asked?" the man I met at the mansion earlier said.

"No, I'm running away from home," I told him.

"Obviously," the god-like alpha gritted his teeth. " But why?"

"My family wants me to marry an old man for money,"

A growl resounded from the alpha, and his companions looked at him. They were silent for a while. I heard that pack wolves can talk telepathically. They call it a mind link. They must be doing that now.

"How old are you?" The pretty lady asked.

"I'm seventeen years old,"

"She's a child," My eyes locked with the alpha, his smoldering gaze still left me in amazement, and my eyes landed right on his attractive lips, and a small smirk appeared when he noticed my drooling. I shied away, my cheeks reddening.

"I'm Ella, that is Beta Nathaniel, but we call him Nate, and Mr. Grumpy over there is my cousin Alpha Prince Rhaegar," Ella said with a smile. My eyes widen at that last title, I heard of the alpha Prince of the werewolf race. He was an intimidating man and the mere mention of him made people whimper in fear. He was the strongest wolf! I couldn't believe he defended me earlier, no wonder everyone acted in such a way at the mansion. I didn't know how to act around them now. These were powerful wolves of the domain, I was nowhere near their level!

"And what's your name, Kid?" Beta Nate asked. I was surprised by the gentleness in his tone despite the stories of how inhumane the alpha Prince's beta was.

"N- Nayla Martin," a tremble followed my words.

"Lovely name. It suits you," Ella said gently. She looked back to Rhaegar and asked,

"What should we do about her?"

"Nothing," I answered quickly, " I am going to the station. I want to leave this place and stay with the humans,"

Prince Rhaegar scoffed, and I glanced at him. He was once again mind-linking with Beta Nate. Could he talk to me directly? No! it was probably for the best because when he does, my stomach flutters, and I feel weak.

"Do you have anywhere in particular to go?" Beta Nate asked, and I froze. I didn't think so far ahead when I left. I knew humans lived in large cities.

"I'll decide later,"

"Kid, I can tell you haven't shifted in your wolf yet, and living with humans can be much more difficult than you think. You need to plan properly and how to earn a living," Nate informed me.

"Oh,"

"Do you even have money?" Ella asked, and I showed her my small fluffy purse.

"300 dollars,"

"Oh, she's pathetic," The Alpha prince exhaled, touching his temple as though he had a headache.

"She can stay at the pack as she plans, can she not, Rhaegar?" Ella asked enthusiastically. Her eyes were hopeful, and shimmering like a child's.

"You want me to bring a rogue to the pack, and endanger our people,  Ella," Rhaegar said, glancing at me.

"Just look at her. Does that face look like it can hurt anyone?" Ella pouted, gripping my chin gently so that Prince Rhaegar could look at me, however, he couldn't for some reason, ignoring my puppy eyes. At that moment, he didn't look so threatening, just a man. A GORGEOUS MAN

"We can't let her wander alone. She will get herself killed," Beta Nate reasoned.

"I can do anything you want," I said, maybe cooking or cleaning for them. For now, what was important to me was a safe roof over my head. Prince Rhaegar finally looked at me, intently this time. His gaze made me burn, and tingles erupted on my skin. How intense was he? and why was I feeling this way for him?

" Tame yourself, and wolf when you get one," The Alpha prince said, and Ella squealed in happiness, hugging me.

"I will, thank you," I smiled.

We entered the fancy black car. Beta Nate opened the door for me. I slowly got in, looking around. I don't think I'd been in such a car before.

I caught the Prince's curious gaze on me. I couldn't look at him so I shifted my eyes to my lap but closed them when I realized I was wearing such a short dress.

"Give her something to cover her legs," Prince Rhaegar said, staring out the window. He clenched his fists and was breathing heavily.

Was he unwell?

Rhaegar's Pov

Everything about my mate made me burn instantly. I stared at her again, unable to process this. How could she be? She was a child! A weak rogue who couldn't even heal properly, how could the goddess pair me with her? It had to be a mistake.

'No, It's not,' Rega answered, he was excited we were taking her home. He hoped in time, with the bond's help, I'd accept her.

Nalya moved and laid her head on my arm. She was whimpering in her sleep. Her tempting autumn scent enveloped my senses. I pushed her from me. She hit her head against the car door and winced.

"Rhaegar! Be kind," Nate said, and Ella glared at me. I didn't intend to push her so hard.

Nalya stirred and opened her eyes, touching her temple.

"I'm sorry," she said softly, wiping her lips and sitting straight.

I received text messages from Juliana. We've been good friends since we were kids, and I decided to make her my Luna as she always wanted.

'You have a mate now, so Juliana can't be the Luna,'

Rega didn't see things as I did. No one would accept a rogue as their leader so we'll be saving her from pain. Juliana was the perfect candidate. She was strong, kind, and compassionate; everyone in the pack loved and respected her.

I texted her back, telling her we were bringing a rogue to stay at the pack house for a while. She was okay with it and was happy we helped a rogue.

"Wow!" a gasp escaped Nalya's lips. She was looking at the buildings in wonder.

"Welcome to the Autumn Moon Pack, the largest and strongest pack in the world," Ella told her, looking proud.

"It's so... beautiful," Nalya whispered, and I beamed inwardly. Indeed, my pack was the most developed. We had huge malls, modern technology, and an impressive town away from the pack house and members' houses.

"Should we stop at a restaurant to eat before going to the pack house?" Nate asked, and I nodded. Nalya's stomach had been growling since she got in.

He stopped in front of our favorite restaurant, All Seasons.

The revolving glass doors seemed to amuse and scare Nalya. Did she ever leave her house?

The rogues weren't as comfortable as us, but it wasn't shabby. We went in only to realize she wasn't by our side.

"Oh, lords," I groaned. She was standing outside, looking nervous.

"Go get her, Rhaegar,"

"Why me?"

"You're closer," Nate answered.

Nalya was still looking around when I grabbed her hand. I regretted it immediately as pleasant tingles traveled down my arm. She didn't feel them yet.

The staff escorted us to our table, and Nalya sat next to me. I don't think she realized it.

"What do you want to eat?" Nate asked her, pointing at the menu. She shrugged her shoulders.

"Anything," she answered quietly, not looking at him.

"They have rare and expensive food here. Choose whatever you want, and don't worry about money. Rhaegar and Nate have so much of it," Ella told her, smiling at us.

We all picked our food, except Nalya. She was still browsing through the menu.

"Nalya, have you picked?" Ella asked,

"I don't know anything here," she bit her lips, blushing. My breath caught in my chest. She was fucking gorgeous.

"You can have the Kobe Beef. It's good, and they import the meat from Japan," Nate told her, and she nodded.

"So, do you have any hobbies, Nalya?" Ella asked. She waited for a long time before she answered.

"I play the flute. Does that count as a hobby?"

Ella was most happy to hear this as it was her favorite instrument to play, however, she was not good at it. She asked Nalya so many questions, and the girl answered them confidently. I could tell that it was something she enjoyed.

"Who taught you how to play?" Nate asked. She squinted her eyes in thought for a second.

"I mostly learned it by myself. I was dedicated, and in eighth grade, my father got me a teacher,"

"That's wonderful. You must be good," cheered Ella.

"Some people and teachers say so," she was a bit embarrassed, looking down at her lap. Why was she embarrassed?

It was impressive.

Our food came, and everyone ate. Ella told the lovely rogue wolf about the pack. She wasn't adding much, just nodding her pretty head.

"The southeastern part is perfect for wolves as forest and mountains surround it. The pack has been here since the medieval,"

Nalya looked at me before she drank her water, I watched her gulp, and immoral thoughts rushed to my mind. I exhaled, taming myself. I needed to relax.

After our dinner, they served dessert, and Nalya's eyes lit up in excitement before eating.

"Do you like ice cream?" Nate smiled. Why was he so friendly? ' Call me Nate, please,' he said earlier to my mate. I scoffed and glared at him.

"Yes, it's nice," she mumbled her words shyly.

"You've had ice cream before, right?" Ella asked quizically.

"Yes, just not this kind," she answered as she ate. I noticed the faint bruises on her arm now that she wasn't wearing her dark cloak to cover her, and my wolf growled.

"Who did that to you?" I asked. I could feel my hands shaking again. I was fucking losing control. My eyes scanned her face, pausing at her lips before inhaling. Calm down, Rhaegar.

" Who. the. fuck. hurt. you," I asked her slowly, looking into her eyes.
