Emma Grey
It had been a week since I last met him.
The events from last time had since played like a broken record in my head and it was the only thing that could help me feel safe at this moment.
‘I am Nathan. Nathan Black.’
His gravelly calm tone had my heart fluttering, aching to hear more. Sadly, happiness only lasted not long after I woke up on Lina's couch.
How can a stranger give me so much comfort? The securities he unconsciously provided to me that night made me crave for it again. The warmth he had sent had comforted my entire being; and how I wished I could feel it again right now.
Nathan Black “How was the meeting with Joshue?” Father’s inquiry vibrates through the dining hall which once was full of silence. The tension in the air proudly presents itself judging by the stiffness coming from everyone in the room. Ethan visibly halted from chewing the steak while his head instantly turned to the said voice. It had only been two days since I last saw my father, and yet, it felt the longest knowing I left while I was on a bad term with him. Who wouldn't. I practically had my claws on his throat which I somehow didn't remorse for it one bit. He had not mentioned it since I came back home from the Solis Pack, acting as though it never happened. It slightly sent me on nerves as he often addressed the elephant in
Emma Grey I should get some sleep now. “Emma!” A loud voice suddenly booms through the roof, keeping me awake. Well, maybe not. The sounds of steps thunderously rumbled through the stairs as I braced myself, expectant for mom to return home. I shut my eyes tight, planning on disguising myself to sleep when a hand gently shook my shoulder. “Emma. Are you asleep?” A familiar whisper went through my ear. Hang on, I knew that voice. I slowly opened my eyes; head turned to my back when Lina came into my view. Her eyes crystal with tears which had my brows knitted.
Nathan Black “Mr. Black, there are some matters I need to attend to. Please, go ahead as I will follow along later.” My sudden utterance had caught father’s attention as he shot me a skeptical look. Ethan and Allan had long walked towards Sir Joshue’s house leaving me and father not far behind. We had reached the Solis Pack when a sight pulled me in as I stepped on the field. The brown locks graced through the winds had my chest bloom with colors, enchanted by the view. I struggled to keep my eyes on my father, unwilling to hint a single clue to not alert my father of her existence. Yet. “I see. Though, do ensure not to be late. You do know a great leader would never be late on any occasion. It is unacceptable.” A nod was all I gave in response to his leader's related talk. The ongoin
Emma Grey “I need to leave for now. Though, I will meet you again when the meeting is over.” My eyes gazed on his retreating figure, wishing he could stay longer. His gentle smile still lingers in my mind. It had been a startlement even to myself at how much I burst my tears in front of him. I had swore to myself not to. I have gone through it for how many years, surely I could just smile through the pain. However, when his lavender scent basked in mine, and the sight of him appeared in front of my very eyes, I couldn't help it. It feels as though my body had the mind of its own as my feet rushed towards his embrace. It never occurred to me that I would meet h
Nathan Black The meeting room was situated in a room next to Sir Joshue’s office. As to why they decided to build an office in their house was also a wonder. Mayhaps it was easier to keep the secret within a small range of people. I have been in the room for half an hour and during that time, it was filled with silence. No one had dared to say a word. The atmosphere was suffocating with my rage, my mind whirled to the possibilities on who could've caused her such pain. Gratefully, Ethan had elbowed my side with curiosity filling his eyes. It successfully brought back my conscience again. “What had got you so worked up, bro. I almost drowned in your wrath just now
Emma Grey “I am impressed. You surely knew you did wrong. Baring yourself in front of me like this, the little worthless Emma.” A sinister grin falls on her lips. I should've known I wouldn't be this fortunate. How deluded could I be? “Mom…” My lips quivered. Cold sweat washed over me. How can I let it slip through my mind that mom could possibly be here. This is the one place she would be if not elsewhere. If only I wasn't blinded by the temporary comfort encast upon me. Then, I could have used my brain better and saved myself from these circumstances. Why am I so foolish?
Nathan Black I speed up even more. I'm coming. Until then, please be safe. Emma. “Nathan! Where the heck are you going?” Allan heralded out for me, irregardless of that, I couldn't let myself decelerate. I need to be there fast. “Damn it. Just follow him.” Ethan and Allan had run after me. I could hear the heavy steps vibrating on the ground as they slowly advanced nearer and nearer towards me. Father was probably left behind dumbfounded by the whole situation. Though, I will notify him later about this when I'm sure she is safe. As of now, my mind only fills with her. &nb
Emma GreyI got away from her. My mom.I used to never dared to imagine it before. Now that it had occurred before me had me astounded. And it was all because of him.I stole a glance to my side, admiring his profiles which only greatly highlight his charming features. His eyes had been focused forward, giving me an opportunity to take him in .My eyes trailing to his full brows, the mole under his black dazzling eyes and his sharp jaws before it falls to his lips. My eyes lingered on it longer, unintentionally tightened my hold in our intertwined hand.
