Alpha Sebastian POV
I pull into the elder camp. One of the elders comes out to meet with Alanis and me. She gets out of the car and takes her bag. She looks back at me. She looks sad, but I have no choice. I cannot put her in danger. I know she will be safe here. I put my arms around her and gently kiss her.
"I love you. I will be back for you soon, trust me," I say to her.
"I love you, too," Alanis says as she walks away with one of the elders.
One of the elders comes up to me as I watch Alanis walk to the cabin. "We will take care of your Luna," he says.
"I know. If I do not come back for her in the morning, make sure she is safe. Get her far away from her," I say.
"Yes, Alpha," the elder says.
I leave Alanis with the elders at their camp. She is not happy about the situation but gives me no problems. The elders will take care of her, a
Alpha Sebastian POVAs night falls, we prepare to go into Alpha Jordon’s camp. I am ready, and my wolves are ready. I have always tried to handle things peacefully, but threatening my wife and my sister is not acceptable. Alpha Jordon putting my pack at risk is unacceptable, and turning my wolves against me is definitely not acceptable.Raul and Basil prepare three separate teams. I will take one unit of wolves, and Raul and Basil will each take a team. We will attack in unison from all sides. The main objective is to take down Alpha Jordon no matter who gets in the way. Jordon and his wolves will fall tonight. He is too much like his father to live.We each take out unit and begin to move through the woods toward the camp. We move quickly and are ready. We take our wolf forms to move faster and cause the most damage to anyone that gets in our way. Alpha Jordon's guards will go down first, then his second line of w
Alanis POV I look out and see a truck pulling up. One of the elders, Jolene, holds up her hand for me to wait. I stay still and watch from the window. Raul gets out of the truck and starts hollering for help. "Help!" The elders rush out of the cabin to his aid. Jolene stays with me. "You are important and have to be protected. Please, wait with me until we know what is happening," she says to me. I wait impatiently. If Alpha Sebastian is here for me, then I am ready to leave and be with him. I appreciate being here and being protected, but I long for my husband and to be with him. There is a lot of noise coming from outside. I get up to look out the window again. I see Raul and several elders helping Alpha Sebastian. There is blood, so much blood. I gasp. I run past Jolene and out the door. "Sebastian," I call out to him. Jolene runs behind me.
Alanis POVAlpha Sebastian does not take his hand out of mine the entire trip home. He frequently kisses the top of my hand. I am anxious to be home with him, to start our life. I am having a hard time wrapping my head around Julian's betrayal. There are so many unanswered questions, but some things are better left unbothered and unanswered.Alpha Sebastian parks the truck in the drive and comes around to open my door. When I step out of the truck, he picks me up in his arms and kisses me. "I think it is time for us to be alone," he says.No guards, no interruptions, just alone time with my Alpha and me. He carried me into our home and straight back to our bedroom. I have no idea how he healed or why all of this happened; again, some things are better left alone. He sets me down as we enter our room. He removes his shirt. There is not one scratch on him, nothing to remind of us what happened to
*Alanis August has a gift. She can heal wolves. Her new husband, Alpha Sebastian, wants her to explore her heritage and learn more about her past. Now six months after she first started digging into her past, she finds a wolf who knows about her heritage. Alanis is afraid, but she sets out to learn about her gift and how she can heal wolves. However, Alanis and Sebastian are not the only ones interested in her gifts. Alanis has an admirer, and he wants to put her back in a cage.* Alanis POV It has been six months since I married Sebastian. So much has happened. I was afraid losing his sister would hurt Sebastian, but he pretends it never happened. I think it is easier if he ignores the pain. He says he understands why she was angry with him and hold the pain within him. Sebastian spends all of his time focusing on his wolves and me. I do love the extra attention he dotes on me, but sometimes I
Alanis POVJeremiah and Alpha Sebastian load the truck while I watch from the porch. I always enjoy watching Alpha Sebastian do anything. He always looks happy, smiling, and talking with people when he is not worried about his pack or me. Right now, he is only loading the truck; when we leave, he will worry about his pack and me.Dustin brushes me as he goes down the steps. I can hear something coming from him, like on the inside. It is strange. I feel screams and then something cold, maybe sharp. The images are blurry as I feel the pain coming from him."Alanis, what is wrong?" Alpha Sebastian asks me. I suddenly realize I am lying on the ground, looking up at the clouds."I felt something coming from Dustin; it was strange," I say.Alpha Sebastian, Dustin, and Jeremiah look at each other and then back to me. "What did you see?" Dustin asks me.
Alanis POVI fall asleep beside my sweet Alpha. I am peaceful and content when we are together. For the first time in my life, I feel like I am in some sort of control. I am not in a cage, and I am with someone who loves me. Now, if I can figure out what is going on with me, then maybe Sebastian and I can move on with our lives."Alanis," Alpha Sebastian says softly. I open my eyes and look up to see a cabin. Several wolves are waiting for us as we pull into the driveway.I do not want Alpha Sebastian to see my fear. I am not sure what it is I am feeling; maybe it is fear, but it is like a pull. I am pulled toward something or perhaps someone."I feel strange," I suddenly exclaim. Why did I say that? I shake my head as the feeling begins to take over my body.Alpha Sebastian parks the truck and gets out quickly. He comes around to my side and pulls me to the side of the seat. "Alanis, are you alright?" Alpha Sebastian asks me.I look up to s
Alanis POVLuna Kate is extremely kind and answers all of my questions. I know I must be asking a thousand questions about who and what we are. What type of wolves and what kind of power do we have? I know all of this is like having a child asking her a million questions, but I need to know. I thought I knew who my parents were, but now I find out the wolves that raised me were not my parents. It is a lot to take in at once, but Luna Kate is trying to help me through it as we go through her pack records."You can trace your family here, see," Luna Kate says as she points to a wolf record from her pack."So your pack is here with your husband's pack?" I inquire."Yes, it is complicated, but we are all here on one territory. At least for now. It is not working out all that great. Our wolf pack is quite arrogant and selfish. You are not like that, I can see, but many of
Conrad POVI have waited for her for so long, the mate that was taken from me, my Alanis. She was promised to me when we were children, but her parents, those fools, broke my heart by sending her away. I was only a child when I lost my mate. No child should be told that they will have to be alone because the mate they were promised s being sent away. They defied the weeping wolf and should be punished for coming between Alanis and me. They have to pay. I need to get to them before they have a chance to tell Alanis anything about my family or me. They have to be silenced. They will be silenced no matter what it cost me.Alanis's parents had no right to interfere with fate. She was my fated mate. The weeping wolf chose us to be the elite Alpha family. We would produce elite wolves to rule over the imperials and they did not want that. The imperials are afraid of the elites, and now they will pay. I will kill them and take Alanis. There
