18~Their duties

Kendall groaned as he tried to open his eyes. The harsh sun rays was on his closed eyelids making it difficult for him.

He didn't want to get back to the land of the living just yet. But the persistent murmurs that was coming from somewhere began louder and louder.

Since he couldn't telepathically force them to keep quiet, he snapped his eyes open ready to yell at the intruders when his eyes softened.

The person in front of him was no other person than his mate. Kayla was smiling at him trying to keep the tears at bay. He could see that she was trying her best to control her emotions but it was hard so he spoke first,

"Hey beautiful....you look awful." He said as she chuckled and said,

"You are the one covered in bandages." She laughed as she helped him sit up. He groaned as pain racked through his body and he sighed when he laid on the bed rest.

"How is the Alpha. Is he in a better condition?" He asked as Kayla rolled her eyes and said,

"Yea he is....he has been walking around and
