I watch Tyson take off in my SUV with his mate, my Luna, injured and strapped into the passenger seat. Worry clearly written all over his face. I don’t have time to contemplate the ‘what ifs’ of her medical status. My Alpha needs me to do my job.

I enter the property at the back stairwell. Before I ascend the steps, I investigate the door. It has definitely been tampered with; the lock is broken and the sensor disabled. Is that how the bomb got into the building circumventing our security systems? Why doesn’t this door have a better lock and alarm?
