Miguel's P.O.V

"You are beautiful," I said in my mind while facing her.

"Huh?" said the person in front of me.

"H-huh? Nothing. I said it's a beautiful day today; it doesn't seem like it's going to rain," I said while panicking.

 

I said it in front of her; it was embarrassing.

It's been two weeks since I started working here at his boutique as a sales supervisor. I am the only one who visits, lists, and buys from suppliers. My job also includes double-checking materials and stock inventory. She has already introduced me to everything about me, and I only need to complete a few papers.

 

She also personally trained me in what I needed. She is kind, soft-spoken, and, most of all, very beautiful. From her complexion, you can tell she is from a rich family. She acts and speaks very socially, but only simple things make herhappy. Just like my simple jokes to her. Corny to others but sells too much to her.

 

"Since I worked with you, you have not given me a welcome party. Now is a good time to party." I joked with her just to have a connection with what I said earlier.

 

Because she didn't consider me different. She said that I shouldn't consider her a boss, if not just a business partner, because she said that I was helping her in his business, and most of all, we were the same age.

 

"Raven and I have a plan for tonight" she answered.

 

"Maybe we can go with you, right?" I persisted, but I knew that I couldn't leave the house for a long time because I didn't want to leave mom alone. All of his employees live upstairs in this office, so if we all go together, mom will be alone upstairs.

 

"If you want me to explain to Raven," she answered.

 

"It's just a joke. I can't leave mom, you know that." I would laugh at her while arranging the papers.

"You and Raven go to every day; aren't your livers broken yet?" I have a curious question.

 

"We didn't drink hard, so it wasn't alcohol because we barged," she casually answered.

 

"Well, what is it?" I followed up with a question to her.

 

"The vibes, the sound, and the companion, you know," she said with raised eyebrows.

 

"You're just wasting the entrance fee. I guess you're rich after all," I said to him with a shrug.

"We are one of the investors there, so we have our own room; that's why," she said.

 

"You have a lot of business; Nice!." I keep repeating.

 

She doesn't answer whether they are rich or maybe they just worked really hard. I know she is smart, and she can achieve all that if she pours all his time into work.

 

"Hahaha, it's not just hard work. Raven and I have been business-minded since high school, so we just put all the money we earned into different companies that we can invest in. Money works, hahah," she explained one after another.

 

"Do you want coffee?" I asked him when I saw her yawn.

 

"No. I'll drink it later alcohol later, the coffee is not good with alcohol" she answered.

 

"Why don't you come to the house? Don't go bar all night; Let's do something different, aren't we?" I offer her

 

The whole time I worked here, those two women did nothing but bar before going home to them.

 

"What to do?" she asked.

 

"Just eat?" she answered questioningly.

 

"Mama can cooked; don't worry," I offered her again.

 

"I'll ask Raven first," she says.

 

"Don't worry. Just bring her so she won't refuse. We're also good with them, Mc. We're also noisy if you wanna know," I explained to her.

 

"Okay. Let's see," she said while taking his phone.

 

I didn't answer anymore.

I texted mom to cook something delicious, and she did a lot of it. I called Mc, but he didn't answer, so I texted mom again to prepare a table outside the room because Aira and Raven, who is our boss, are going.

Mom still wondered in panic, but I told her to just relax because they are kind.

At the top of this building, there are three rooms and a relatively large garden. From the outside, it looks like an office roof deck.

 

Mom has been taking care of the garden since we moved here. Two employees from the boutique also live here, except for our HR because he already has a family.

 

We get along well, so I'm satisfied that they can get along with Raven and Aira, not as bosses but as friends.

"Halaa. Ma'am, hello, Ma'am Raven and Ma'am Aira. Why are you two suddenly? Do we have a problem?" Mc asked.

 

"Hahaha, they didn't come here because they're our boss. They came here as our friends. I'm calling you to say you're not answering."

 

They took care of the two.

 

Aira told them not to judge them because they are only humans and they are the same age. They talk happily.

 

"It's good thing you didn't build a pharmacy," said Kaila.

 

"Why? What's wrong with the pharmacy?" Raven said.

 

"Nothing. If you don't have a lot of patience, you won't be able to work there. Do you know that once I worked there and someone bought me Baby Powder, that famous Johnson?' he said, stopping and taking a bite of crackers.

 

"So what happened?" Raven asked innocently.

 

"Because he buys it many times and then three or four times with his best friend. Then his best friend always wants to open it first to see what's inside. Maybe it's corny inside, not talc So-

 

"Aren't the contents of that powder really corn instead of talc?" Raven interrupted.

This girl is really smart, even though they are all bars.

 

"Exactly, madam. So every time they buy, I just listen and say if you don't buy it, you can't open it, and once you open it, you can't return it. His friend is fine with him buying it because he really likes the powder. Then he whispers more, and then last time they bought me, I couldn't stand it anymore. I said, "Aren't you studying?

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, you have a bad attitude," said one of our companions.

 

"It's not over yet, haha, I asked him. I said if you haven't studied it, try to search it first and do a fact check; you're not just trending based on it. Trending is not always the truth. Then they left, and he just said to his friend, 'let's search later.' He was going to laugh, but when he got away, he suddenly shouted, like insulted me" 

We just laughed, but we felt that MC would choke because he couldn't answer the cry as a child.

 

A few hours passed and we just talked about things, and more often we talked about nonsense, stupidity, and silly moments we had when we were in school. Even without alcohol, there was no noise around, and we still enjoyed being together. We woke up to gossip, so we all decided to open late tomorrow so we could get enough rest. The two of them slept here because there was still a room available and ready to use.

I'm happy that someone like her has simple happiness. I got to know and like her better
