Chapter 2
Sana's POV
He must've become clueless about my unexpected statement. He loosens his grip as I turn to him. He looks at me being surprised and I laugh out looking at his anxious face. He sighs.
"Jesus! You're never gonna stop pranking on me," he says wrapping his arms around me. I stop laughing and look deep into his brown eyes.
Our lips meet. He grabs my waist more tightly to pull me up. I struggle to kiss him back as he doesn't let me respond and chews my lips harder. Clutching his both arms tightly, I hiss into his mouth.
I knew he would definitely do it. I wanted him to do. I wanted him to kiss me intensely like he never did before. He has become a drug to me which I ought to consume every day.
My chain of thoughts breaks as he releases me. We both breathe heavily after a deep smooch. I come close to him again to hug him but he pulls me away and walks near the window and takes out his phone.
I just look at him without blinking my eyes. Does he really feel the same when we kiss? Or is this only me who wants to live this moment with all my heart and soul? I find a strange ache at the left side of my chest.
I know we don't share a serious relationship and he doesn't even love me. Still, I keep hoping for something good from him. But do I love him? I don't know. I just want him to feel the same for me that I feel for him. And I really don't consider it love.
"We need to leave for office Sano," he says focusing on his phone. "I'm not gonna let that Alex destroy my dream project. He almost ruined 50% of it," he shrugs.
Last night was terrible for him. We got a notice to repay all the primary investments done by fellow clients within just 10 days. Because our business rival Alex showed them some fake clips of Sid. It was a shock for Sid as he literally thought this project would finally help him to be the most influential person in this city.
"I've got Tina's text. She has arrived and completed submitting all the documents I ask for," I say.
"Good," he says, reactionless.
"I don't think you have much work to do today. I mean I'll try to cover up your pending work. You should visit your mom," I offer.
He raises his eyebrows as he looks at me.
"You've lost it?" he shrugs. "I'm at a loss, Sana. That bloody Alex sued my company, banned my goods. I'm in a state of throwing myself on the streets. And you're suggesting me spend my whole day for a bloody birthday? Which I don't even like to celebrate"
I nervously look down. Sid cares about two things in the world most. Money and Power. His family and I don't count among them.
"Sid, calm down," I say in a soft voice. He doesn't look at me. I guess I should drop the plan of making dinner for him. He doesn't like it when someone shows him extra care on his birthday. He acts to be normal in front of his mom. But he doesn't like it either if she celebrates his birthday. He ignores me and walks to the closet. This is the same guy who kissed me a few minutes ago. And now he doesn't even look at me. Even though I'm not acting, he definitely is. I remind myself "acting"
Green john company
I go to my desk and start making the datasheets I was instructed to make.
"Hey, sana," a familiar voice echoes. I look up as I see Lopa chuckling at me.
"Hey," I warmly greet her.
"I heard about the disaster that happened yesterday. I can't believe Alex can do something like this. He was always Sid's rival but he can frame Sid like this I have never imagined. Is Sid alright?" she worriedly asks.
"He is disturbed. But you know he can handle worst situations really well," I smile at her.
"Frame??," a voice mocked at us. I was not expecting this bitch. I look sideways and discover Eva. I can hardly stand her. She never misses any chance to mess with me. Lipa too throws a blank look.
"What??," Lopa shrugs. I try to avoid Eva and focus on my datasheet. Meanwhile, she reaches out to me and stands before me crossing her both arms.
"So you think Alex has framed our boss. Your beloved Sid," she smirks.
Now she is gonna utter something rubbish and I'm gonna smash her face. This will be what may happen in the next few minutes.
"Owner of CVC, Alex has said our Boss Mr Sid Matthews misbehaved with his wife and offered her to come for a one night stand with him. And if Alex's wife is ready, Sid will pass the biggest controversial deal to Alex. Right?? Is this what happened yesterday?" Eva passes an ugly smile.
I still avoid her. I don't wanna lose my temper right now when I have plenty of work to do. After the disaster happened yesterday I couldn't focus on anything except for Sid. I just wanted him to feel good.
"What's your problem, Eva?," Lopa gazes at her.
"Can't you see sana isn't interested in answering your shits?"
Eva chuckles as she glares at me.
"I just wanna let you guys know that you both are dumb bitches. How can you guys think that Sid Matthews is the most innocent guy in the world? It's not impossible for him to offer something like this to a married woman," she says.
My blood boils. I clench my fists still trying to keep myself calm.
"You're so ungrateful Eva. You're talking rubbish about your own boss? You think Sid Sir has given this nasty proposal to Alex's wife?," Lopa protests.
"First of all, he will be no longer our boss. He is almost doomed. Within a few hours, Alex will take over all of his property and will be our new boss. And secondly, why can't sid do this? He may be bored of her," Eva says looking at me.
"Fuck off," I say controlling my anger.
"Oh, poor Sana. It hurts no? But don't you think you're expecting too much from a guy like sid? Girl, You're not his girlfriend. Wake up. You're not more than a cheap mistress to him," Eva continues her nonsense. And I keep listening to her to know how much she can say.
"He must be tired of you and offered another chick," Eva leans down to look at my pissed off face but I don't let her see it. I punch on her right jaw with my knuckles and she instantly falls to the ground.
Employees from the next tables panic as they witness the situation. They keep quiet and enjoy the drama that has started right now. Eva gazes at me. I see a little amount of blood at the corner of her lips.
"You bloody bitch," Eva screams. She comes to attack me as I come close to her, go on my knee and smash her face against the ground. She struggles to free herself.
"You should be glad that we are in office. Otherwise, I would've rather smashed your throat not your face," I urge in a range of anger while pressing her face against the floor with full strength.
"Sana," Lopa panics. "Leave her"
"Sana," a voice echoes like thunder. I don't let her go. I'm still in a state of annoyance that I pay no attention to it.
"Sana. Just stop," Sid yells again from behind.
Sid's POV
I discover sana attacking Eva which I can hardly imagine. She is not unprofessional. She always behaves at work. She controls herself, her anger. But today what I see is beyond my expectations. I rush to her and grab her arm to pull her up. She remains to gaze at Eva who can hardly get up. Lopa and Azor come forward to help her. Sana doesn't meet my eyes.
"What the fuck you were doing?," I yell at her as she drives her eyes away. She is still fuming in anger. Whenever she is unable to control herself she becomes silent and swallows her anger down to her throat.
"Are you out of your mind? You were about to kill her. You literally pressed the stress points of her neck," I continued yelling at her and she remained silent.
"How can you be so unprofessional?"
She finally looks at me with her blood boiled eyes as if she wants to say I don't understand her.
"She has gone mad. Send her to some asylum," Eva yells back. "Bloody bitch"
I throw a strong gaze at Eva. She lowers her eyes realizing that she can't say a single word to sana at least in front of me. I raise my index finger to warn her and sign her to keep her mouth shut.
I clutch Sana's arm tightly and drag her to my cabin
Sana angrily drives me away as we enter my cabin.
"Why the heck did you stop me?" she fumes in anger. She looks at me and makes a distance amidst us.
"Sana, calm down," I instruct her. But I know she is in no mood to calm down. It's difficult to distract her when something hits her from the bottom.
"Why? Why should I?," She continues yelling at me. "You know what she was saying? She was uttering nonsense about you. About us"
"It's my office, Sana. There's nothing like 'us' and me," I reply in a cold tone. "There are only work and money. Within a few hours, my company is gonna shut down. I'm trying my best to stop this. Every employee here is trying his best to work it on. But you involved yourself in a stupid fight?" I lean down to her and shrug pressuring my voice.
She freezes while looking at me. Her eyes turn red.
"Sid," she mumbles calmly. "Do you know what she was saying about us?? Our personal life"
"Oh, God Sana. Again? Again us?" I clutch my hair and walk away from her. "There's nothing personal between us," I regret as I spit the last sentence in frustration. She must be in tears. And as always I can't face her.
Chapter 3Sid's POVI don't turn or look at her. I'm not in the condition of justifying my statement or giving her an explanation. I have a few hours left and I'll have to prove my innocence before my clients."Sana," I call her in a casual voice. She doesn't respond. I guess she left. I turn around and find her nowhere. Instead of looking for her, I prefer setting up my plans. Sana can wait, but my position can't.Sana's POVI run into the washroom controlling my tears and lock the door. I burst into tears as I remember his words. How can he say this to me?
Sid's POVAfter hearing the news Sana looked at me as she got shocked. I smirk as I look at her. She stares at me for a few seconds and she too smirks. Soon we both burst into laughter. She comes close to me as I peek at her. We both kiss passionately while I continue driving. We do this every time whenever we find the smell of victory. We break our kiss in a short moment since I'm driving. She seductively slides her fingers through my cheek."I knew it. You're gonna kill it", she says. "Now let him cry for his dear wife"She laughs again and I join her too. This is the thing I love about her the most. She never judges me, she never prohibits me from doing somet
I discover Advocate Daniel standing by the dining room. He wasn't supposed to be here at this hour. Sana and I look at each other as we stand up to greet him."Good evening, Daniel," I walk towards him as Sana follows me. We both warmly welcome him by shaking hands."Good evening," he too greets. "I hope I didn't disturb you at this hour," he adds. Why do people on earth say this after they almost ruin anyone's moment? I smile at him casually."Not at all," I fake being happy. I didn't want him to be here. Since the day it's all started Sana's behaviour began changing. I always love to be real with Sana. However, now we'll have to act like a perfect couple in front of him."Daniel please come and have dinner with us," she offers him with a smile. What's the need to offer him? I like the version of her that she shows before Eva or anyone else. Though I act like I don't like her boldness, I admire her fighting with p
Sana's POV I'm shocked after knowing the truth about Olivia and Alex's marriage. I'm not worried about the agreement right now. But all I care about is our company. Roshan has kidnapped Olivia so that Alex tells the truth of the scam by which he trapped Sid. And now we got to know that Alex and Olivia aren't in a serious marriage. Therefore, Alex will never do something to save Olivia. My head is pounding with hundreds of thoughts. "Should I disclose the matter of your marriage to your father so that you can get your owing shares as soon as possible?" Daniel asks. Sid doesn't reply to him. He lowers his head, joining him both hands with his forehead. He must be thinking about his mom. If she gets to know about our marriage, she'll create a scene. And if we tell her that our marriage is fake, she will surely tell the truth to his father. After a long break, Sid finally looks up to Daniel. "Sure. I want my shares as soon as possibl
Sana's POV continued "Yes. You were right," I join him. "We finally played our cards, Sid. I'm really happy" "So I am," he says and pats my head. I find it adorable whenever he does this. He glances at me intensely as his palm trails down to my cheek. I look up at him. Our eyes meet. Sid's POV I stare at her as a genuine smile comes across my face. She keeps looking at me while leaving the rest of the bread on the plate. I discover a little bit of food dust at the corner of her lips. After a whole day, I'm finally peering into her gorgeous skin. Thousands of thoughts poured into my mind as I rub my thumb to clean the dust from her lips. She holds my wrist, our eye contact is becoming deeper with every passing second. I adore her beautiful black eyes, her brownish spotless skin, her rose petal lips while she is wearing no lipgloss or lipstick. Her glowing pinkish lips invite me to leap into them, consume them like drugs. I want to consume
Sana's POV continued He stops caressing my belly as I say this to him. I smile sarcastically again and open my eyes to look at him. He is too stunned to say anything. "Sana...you," he mumbles. I expected this reaction from him. However, I don't want things to get awkward between us when we have just lived a beautiful moment. "Relax," I laugh at him as I try to overcome the awkwardness. "I was kidding" "You always scare me," he sighs as he takes me into a deep embrace. Why? Why does it scare him? Why does loving me haunt him? I turn off my inner soul again so that I don't do any stupidity again. I don't want him to be more disturbed. Finally, we got some relief. I don't wanna snatch them. "It's time to celebrate, no?" I say as I look up. I discover him staring at me. "Yeah," he agrees. "Tequila or Vodka?" I ask. "You know my preference," he smirks. "Me or Vodka?" I chuckle as I get
She becomes nervous as her first impression in this office wasn't desirable at all."I.. thought you were gonna..," she stammers while speaking. I hardly get to see a girl like her who gets anxious while talking to me.Her eyelids look fluffy like waves of the ocean; I manage to see the sight as she lowers her eyes. I keep gazing at her. I don't like people being over-excited about their upcoming goals. It doesn't look professional at all. One should have the attitude and spark into his/her eyes which were missing in her eyes."Sir," Tina interrupts. "I told her to come. Plz, give her one chance. She has the potential""She? You mean her?" I mock her words. "She can only mumble and stammer like a dumb," I shrug as I ignore eye contact with her. I mean what I said. The way she talked, stammered and looked, shows how much less confident she is! Guys may like a girl like her when it comes to relationships but not in work, I guess. I just guessed.
Sid's POVI stand straight as she tries to move. "You can go to your place," I order her. She leaves the chair in a haste and walks away. I re-read the mail, I must say she is good at communicating but what the fuck was she doing? Stammering, mumbling. Do I look that scary? However, I don't care what she thinks about me."You think that's gonna work?" I asked her. "You've barely written four lines""I'm not here to impress anyone. I'm here to convince you. There's a big difference between impressing and convincing," she finally completes her statement without stammering. I wanted her to do so. Because somewhere I don't need a dumb girl in the company who can't utter a line properly. How will she be managing the work I'll assign her. I realise she is not dumb, she is too naive to handle."Impressive!!," I exclaim. "I said I'm not here to impress," she spits.I raise my eyebrows as she keeps surprising me with her savage
