Chapter 15

I'm very sure that I jolted him awake from his playing on his face while he's asleep. I instantly pretended to wipe his shoulders with the towel I was holding.

I wanted to shut my eyes tightly out of embarrassment, but I refrained because Jaxson didn't seem to notice me.

As he stood up with his elbow and steadily lifted his torso to stand up, I supported his body. I handed him the glass of water when he finally sat down, and he accepted it without hesitation. I'm still not letting go of the glass because I'm afraid he'll drop it while drinking the water. After he was done drinking, I carefully placed the glass back on the side table.

When I turned my eyes to Jaxson I almost leaped in sheer panic when I saw his hands unbuttoning his shirt.

“Wait a minute!” I exclaimed in panic to stop him.

Jaxson barely looked at me with his eyes half closed.

“What’s wrong?” He asked in a raspy voice.

“You can change you shirt in the dressing room. Can't you see that I am here?” Tension made me raise my voice. As he continued to remove his upper garments, my eyes widened, and I hastily turned away from him. “— Hey! Hurry up there and get dressed.” I stammered, begging him.

I tried to use my hearing to figure out what Jaxson was doing because I couldn’t look back at him. I'm afraid that the next thing he undresses is the one below him.

When I felt Jaxson’s hands crawling around my waist, I felt my heart stop beating as I would scarcely. The heat of his body that I can feel from behind me, made my lips split up.

Because of what Jaxson is doing, I happen to have turned into a statue, unable to move.

“I'm starving…” he mumbled.

My hair stood on end at the same time as I felt the breath escape Jaxson's lips into my ear.

”—I wanna eat…”

When Jaxson's soft lips brushed against my ear when he spoke, it felt as if my lower lip was gushing from the intensity of my nibble.

“O-O-Okay! I will make you something to eat.” I stuttered as I tried to remove his arms wrapped around my waist. “L-Let go of me, so that I can go downstairs.”

“Hm Hmm…” I felt behind my ear the elevation of the edge of his lips with a smile. “I'm going with you.”

“Jax, just rest here. Y-You're probably still drunk-”

“Hmm let’s go…”

When he began to step forward without releasing my waist, my eyes nearly popped out in surprise. I felt his body even more to my skin behind me so I took a step to obtain some distance from him.

It was as if we were crazy for walking while Jaxson still had his arms wrapped around me, and I kept walking out carefully as I stepped because I was afraid of tripping over his long limbs.

“Jax, let's just walk properly, shall we? Besides, you went out of your room without wearing any top. J-Just go back so- ” I was taken aback when he tightened his grip on me. I couldn't help but grimace as I imagined how we'd get down the stairs in this position.

I understand that Jaxson is just intoxicated so he is acting this way, but he's too much when he's drunk. It's extremely good that I cleansed him earlier because I don't think that I can bear the scent of alcohol.

When we reached the stairs I was immediately nervous about the possibility of us falling. "Let me go first so we can go down the hag-" My eyes almost rolled when he didn't listen to me again and kept walking.

I don’t know if I’ll laugh at the way we look now taking turns stepping up the stairs or cry because I can hear Jaxson’s faint giggle behind me every time we step.

"Maybe you've really lost your mind." I whispered while shaking.

When we finally made it down the stairs, my bones almost unlocked as Jaxson swiveled my body as he stepped left and right like a child.

I breathed a sigh of relief as we finally got to the kitchen, alive and unscathed.

“Oh, Cattleya. What happened to— that?” Aunt Elsie, who is still in the kitchen and seems to be preparing for the morning, greeted me with a question."

"I'm not sure. He just came home drunk earlier. Is he like this all the time?” I asked back to Aunt Elsie as I gently tugged and moved my head away from Jaxson because he kept pressing my ear to his lips and giggling like a lunatic.

“I have never seen that child like that. He didn't drink very often then.” she claimed.

“Is that so..?” I replied. “By the way, are there any ingredients I can use to cook soup? He said he was hungry. Maybe after sipping the hot broth, Jaxson will come to his senses.”

“Oh, there is hija here. Do you need any help?”

“Ah, not anymore Aunt Elsie. I'll just do it for him myself. You may now rest, please. It's already in the middle of the night and you are still working.”

“Oh it's fine, Cattleya. Thanks for being really considerate. I'm going to leave you guys now.”

I followed Manang Elsie's with my gaze as she walked away from the kitchen. I even noticed her glancing at Jaxson and me again before grinning.

“Jax, please have a seat. How am I supposed to cook like this?” I tried to talk to Jaxson, but he seemed to be extraordinarily stubborn whenever he was drunk because he locked his arm around my waist and shook his head once again.

He even rubbed the side of my cheek with the back of his head, like a puppy.

“You're such a pain to look after,” I sighed as I made my way to the refrigerator.

“Give me a minute and I'll see what I can make for you,” I said as I began digging through the refrigerator's goods. “If you only had just let go of me, you could've already eaten by now.” I exaggerated.

I hurriedly grabbed the chicken when I finally recognized something familiar to my eyes. Maybe, I'll just make Jaxson some chicken soup. Then I'll put it aside and store it in the fridge to reheat so I don't have to cook for him again in the morning.

Thankfully, I'm used to it. Even though my mother is at home with Charles and me, I prefer taking care of them and doing the chores, and preparing meals. I started cooking as soon as I finished gathering all of the ingredients. While this large baby continues to cuddle me from behind.

While waiting for the water to boil, I thought of giving Jaxson another glass of water. He might be able to release me if I do that. At the pace of my heartbeat right now and the intensity of his grasp on my body, I felt as if I couldn't catch my breath. It's strangling me.

“Drink this first to hydrate your lungs,” I murmured gently as I attempted to tilt my head to him. “Jaxson… Please?” I pleaded as he remained still.

He then let off of me and took the glass I handed him.

When Jaxson finally let go from hugging my body, I blew out a collective sigh of relief.

I walked back to the stove where the water I was boiling was set, still trying to avoid directly staring at him because he is still not wearing his shirt.

All I do is peek at Jaxson to make sure he doesn't toss the glass and break it while drinking.

I instinctively backed away as his large figure stepped closer to me with sly eyes. “Hey hey hey, wait!” I yelled, waving my hand in front of Jaxson to keep him away from me. I'd also want to finish cooking as quickly as possible so he can start eating. “Just sit in front of me,” I urged.

Jaxson paused for a moment, locking his gaze intently on me. I thought he was going to obey what I said, but I failed when he kept approaching and unexpectedly hugged me in front.

I was taken aback by what he did and barely blinked. I don't know why I can't push him away from me, even though I can easily do it because Jaxson’s arms are not wrapped around my torso. His chest was just leaning against me as he buried his head in my neck once more.

I was bewildered when I suddenly realized that he was still not wearing a top and that I could now smell his naked body.

I let Jaxson lean on me for a moment before I decided to bring my hand up to his trunk. When I felt his bare skin on my hand, I firmly gritted my teeth as my eyes shut tight.

I was about to shove Jaxson away when I heard a series of sobs,

I also felt my shirt slowly being wet from his tears.

Jaxson… He’s crying on my shoulder.

My hands went right to his back and softly stroked it instead of pushing him away. It breaks my heart that I am unable to do anything but listen to him cry.

After a few minutes of keeping in this position, I gently grasped Jaxson’s shoulder and slowly moved him away from my body. His solemn eyes glistened with tears as he stared at me. Even his nose had turned red from sobbing.

My hands deliberately moved up to his cheek, wiping away the tears that had been streaming down his face. As I wiped away Jaxson's tears, his sly and dull eyes just blankly stared at me.

He's not averting his gaze at me as he seems to be watching my face.

When our eyes finally met, I felt shivers run through my body as my hands slowly descended from his cheeks down to his chest.

I pursed my lips as I locked my gaze on Jaxson's. I can't figure out why I couldn't seem to break away from his eyes, which left me feeling trapped and drowning me little by little.

I stood frozen, unable to move my legs as I watched Jaxson inch closer to me, waiting for his next move. He softly pulled his face closer to mine as my hand slipped from his chest down to his navel at the same time.

My lips split up to make room for Jaxson, allowing him to enter. I can't understand why my body reacts so strongly to Jaxson's kisses. But what I only know now is that I feel like I am elevating in the clouds. And because of how bizarre it feels, the butterflies in my stomach are in chaos.

Our kisses were deepened as Jaxson's fingers climbed up the back of my head.

My heart is racing so fast that I am afraid it'll burst from the rush of emotions I'm experiencing.

Our heads shifted left and right as we both submerged in our passionate kisses. The sensation of Jaxson's hand sliding into the shirt I was wearing served to drive me back to reality.

I struggled to break away from his lips and pushed Jaxson fiercely when he refused to let me go.

“C-Cattleya…” he murmured as his gaze riveted me down.
