Mandy stayed for several hours alone in the dark without noticing how much time had passed. She was thinking about how to escape, but she couldn't see her surroundings. She trailed, groping around until she found a light switch. However, the light didn't turn on. If only she had her phone with her but she had nothing except the clothes she was wearing.
She felt hopeless. She was so scared since she never felt alone all her life. She was crying and praying for Andrew to rescue her. Yes, she was thinking of Andrew. She recalled when her mom told her that he would protect and take care of her. Hence, she was hoping that he would rescue her. He's all that she has now after her mom passed away.
Oh, wait! Thinking of her mom, she suddenly searched the pocket of her pants. She felt relieved when she found her keychain with a key attached to it. It was a gift from her mom on her sixteenth birthday so she used to bring it wherever she goes.

The following day, Andrew drove Mandy to the cafe. They agreed that Andrew would send and pick her up while they were searching for her new driver. After the incident yesterday, Mr. Lim could no longer be found. After he parked the car back to the mansion, he totally disappeared. Fortunately, he left in the car all the things of Mandy, including her phone. "Thank you for your trouble," Mandy said and turned to enter the cafe. Charm was astounded to see Mandy. She asked where did she go yesterday since she didn't come and couldn't be reached the whole day. However, Mandy didn't tell Charm what had happened. Aside from not wanting her to worry, she thought that it was complicated to explain, especially how she was rescued. She just told her that she was not feeling well,
Mandy glanced at Andrew with a perplexed expression on her face. Their eyes met as Andrew was looking at her as well. Mandy could feel the coldness in his stare that made her more confused. It was only last night when he appeared to be a sweet and thoughtful husband. But now, why did she feel freezing cold the way he looked at her? "Mandy, Megan will stay here from now on," Andrew announced, which made Mandy's forehead furrowed. What's happening? She could not understand why Megan would stay in the mansion. Megan let out a gentle smile. "Honey, where's my room? I'm excited to unpack my things." She mumbled lovingly as she clung her hands to Andrew's arm. "Alright. I'll take you to your room." Andrew replied, then he led Megan to the stairs. 'What's going on? Did I hear it right? Honey? My room?' Mandy had so many questions in her mind. &nb
Mandy stood up anxiously from her seat upon seeing Andrew glaring at her fiercely. She saw the raging flame in his eyes, and as soon as he saw her, he rushed in and held her shoulders harshly. "Do you know what you did?" Andrew asked with bitter resentment. An unexplained surge of anger passed through his heart at the thought that Mandy almost killed Megan. Mandyhad no idea of what he was saying. She answered tensely. "W-what do you mean?" "Megan was in the hospital because of you! Do you know that you almost killed her? Because she's allergic to spicy food!" Andrew yelled as his eyes bulged from their sockets. Mandy's eyes widened in shock. Her face turned pale as though her blood ran off her body. She didn't expect that her simple prank would cause harm to Megan. "I-I didn't mean it," Mandy replied in a trembling voice. "You didn't m
Andrew was wondering what Megan meant by her words. He couldn't just believe that there's a threat in Mandy's life. "What do you mean?" He asked furiously under his breath. "I guess you already knew that Janeth Collins didn’t die of illness." Megan had a hint when Andrew stated earlier that he got some information about her. She was certain that he was referring to it since she learned that he was secretly investigating Donna. Andrew looked at Megan coldly. He was not surprised to hear that from her. When he accused her earlier, he anxiously thought that it's somehow connected to Mandy's abduction. What shocked him was, Mandy's life was in danger as well. "Yes, and you have something to do with her death. I found that you have a connection with the private nurse we hired." He muttered bitterly. It was Megan who was in the picture sent by Patrick to him. Thus, he didn't
It's getting dark already. The lamp posts at the park started switching on consecutively. Mandy anxiously looked in the direction where the man was heading. However, the man suddenly disappeared. She looked around, searching every corner, but aside from a lot of people wandering around the park, there were several blind spots where he could go into hiding. Unexpectedly, the rain poured. Mandy hurriedly ran back to the car. She came across Nathan, who's going to bring an umbrella to protect her from the rain. "Thank you," Mandy uttered, and they quickly ran to the parking area. Then, Mandy immediately hopped in the car. Her clothes were slightly wet. She didn't mind it anyway. She was occupied by the man she bumped in earlier. "Madam, you might feel cold. Do you want me to drop by a clothing store for you to get a change? Nathan asked in concern. "No, I'm alr
Megan was aware that Andrew would be back anytime. Thus, she deliberately provoked Mandy when she heard footsteps coming in. Andrew strolled towards Mandy and grasped her arm harshly. There was a glint of malevolence in his eyes. "You promised me that you would apologize to Megan. But what's that, Mandy? Are you trying to fool me?" Andrew groaned with greeted teeth. Megan secretly sneered. "Andrew, it's alright. I know she's still mad at me for being your mistress. Perhaps she's afraid that I would replace her in your heart." Andrew glanced at Megan and then spoke again furiously at Mandy. "You know very well that there's no love between us. So you have nothing to worry about because, in the first place, you have no place in my heart." Then, he abruptly pushed her arm away and walked towards Megan. "I know," Mandy said in a low voice, almost fragile as if her hear
Charm was agitated, and she was determined to confront Andrew. She pulled Mandy with all her strength and walked towards the door. Mandy was forced to stand up, but she pulled back her arm an inch before Charm reached the doorknob. "Wait, Charm. Are you crazy? Do you even know who his mistress is?" Furious and flushed, Charm turned back to Mandy. "No, you are crazy! How could you just let that bitch live with you in the mansion? And yes, I think I know her. If my assumption is right, she's the one who's with your husband when he came here." Mandy sat back in her seat. "Yeah, you're really keen. Do you think I have the right to throw her out?" She asked a
Andrew stayed a little while on the balcony. Looking up at the blanket of stars that spread into the infinity of space. The faint crescent moon was glowing like a silvery claw in the night sky. He took a deep lungful of air before he went back to the room. He sat down on the bed beside Mandy with concealed emotions in his heart. He looked down at her with his well-crafted brown eyes, but it was difficult to read his expression in the dim light. Then, he caressed her delicate face with his warm hands. Mandy slowly moved her head to the side while her brows snapped together. "Mom," She mumbled softly. 'Everything will be fine. I promise that I will seek justice for the death of your mom. And we will live happily after all this chaos.' Andrew swore in his mind. Then, he lay down and hugged Mandy when he noticed that she was still shivering. Mandy felt like she was covered by a thickset fea
