"How have you been holding up, Raynard?" My mum asked, concern etched on her face.

"I've been good, mum. Better than I was in new york." I replied.

"I'm so sorry I had to leave that way. I got tired of everything, you're dad and his social status. I just didn't think I fit in. I wish I told you before I left."

"I understand. I only wonder why it took you so long to realize you didn't fit in his world. How did you guys even get together in the first place?" I asked.

I've been asking this same question for years and her answer everytime was very irrational. It didn't make sense.
