The next day which was supposed to be my free day according to my boss was really a free day but instead of shopping around with his card, I had a different plan in mind. I got dressed in simple jeans and a sleeveless top, with some sneakers, and did light makeup.

As I stepped down from the staircase leading to the dining area, my family turned to give me a thorough look from their breakfast table.

“What’s going on?” Aurora asked.

“Nothing, I just have a free day and I decided to use it for fun,” I answered while grinning at her. I walked towards the table acting as if I didn’t see my mom glaring at me.

“That’s great. Would you mind if I joined you?” I fisted my fingers against the apple.

“Not really, Aurora. Some other time, we’ll work something out,” I promised her even though I don’t know if that time will ever come up.
