Chapter 0002

“I shouldn’t be doing this.” She thought to herself, but even as she thought it, she had to admit to herself how good her make-believe boyfriend’s lips tasted.

“What the hell? We broke up only three days ago, and already you’re kissing another man? There’s no way you’ll tell me that you weren’t already dating him before now, yet you have the nerve to act all self-righteous with me when you’ve been doing the same thing.”

“Nice to meet you, man, but she’s mine now, so I suggest you back off immediately.” The stranger said, taking his lips off of Nora’s and staring lazily at the fuming Sam, his expression daring him to do something about it. Of course, Sam, being the chicken that he was, did nothing, but rather stalked away, his girlfriend in tow.

“What’s your name? I can’t keep referring to you as ‘stranger guy’ in my head.” Nora asked after Sam left.

“I’m Austin, and you?”

“Nora. It’s nice to meet you. What say we get out of here? Your place or mine?” Nora asked, almost gasping as soon as the words left her mouth. She couldn’t believe that she had just said that! The tipsy smile on her companion’s face showed that he was very much receptive to the idea.

“Sure thing. Let’s go to my place.” Austin suggested, placing a ridiculous amount of money on his table to cover both his drinks and the tip. They walked arm in arm together to Nora’s table, where Sally was still sitting, with a guy that Nora did not know talking to her.

“I’m leaving, Sally. Are you okay with that?” Nora asked, and after Sally confirmed that she was indeed okay with it, she left with Austin.

To her surprise, he even had a driver, so she guessed he was a hotshot of some sort. They soon arrived in a modest apartment that wasn’t too far from the bar and she followed him to his room, all the while wondering what had come over her, but she didn’t have to wonder for long.

Austin grabbed her again, staggering a little, but regaining his balance almost immediately. For some reason, this was very funny to both of them and they burst into loud and raucous laughter that went on for quite a while before they both became serious again at the same time.

They began to kiss, this time passionately, and before Nora knew what was happening, he was taking off her clothes, just as she was helping him take off his too. His body was perfectly sculpted, as she had known it would be when she first looked at him … really looked at him in the form-fitting t-shirt that he had been wearing earlier that night.

“Wait. I’ll get a condom.” Austin told her when things began to really get hot and heavy and they were about to have sex. He rummaged in his bedside drawer and got out a condom, which he put on and then they had the most amazing sex of Nora’s life.

After the whole thing, they both went to take a shower together and slept fitfully until the next morning, when Nora woke up and was thoroughly disgusted with herself. What had she been thinking having sex with a stranger she just met?

People did it a lot, sure, but it was against her principles, and she couldn't believe that she had let herself go like that. She quickly wore her clothes and shoes as quietly as possible and was tiptoeing quietly to the door to make a hasty getaway when she heard Austin’s sleep-ravaged voice, and guiltily stopped in her tracks without turning to face him.

“Having regrets already?” He asked.

“Morning. I need to go. It was nice meeting you.” Nora told him briskly without turning back and escaped through the door, not waiting to hear what he would say next.

By the next evening, she was still embarrassed about her actions of the previous day. What was even more embarrassing was that it was all that she could think about. Throughout that day at work, she kept thinking about how intense her orgasm had been, and how much she would love to have sex with Austin again.

“Why have you been moping about all day? You had sex with Mr. Hot Guy … I’ve forgotten his name, didn’t you?” Sally asked Nora as they drove home in Sally’s car. They lived close to each other, as Sally lived two streets over from Nora, and they worked in the same office, so they were almost always together.

“What?! No, of course not! I’m not that kind of girl.”

“Oh, please. You know I can always see through you and always know when you’re lying. So wasn’t the sex good?” Sally asked.

“It was the best sex of my life, but I’m so embarrassed.”

“Come on, girl! There’s no need to be embarrassed. I dare say that having sex with that guy is the antidote you need to get over that asshole Sam. So, we’re going over to that bar again today.”

“What?! No way! I’d curl up into a ball and die if I have to face him again.”

“No, you won’t. anyway, the chances are that he won’t even be there, after all, that’s our favorite bar, and we’ve never seen him there before now. Besides, I need you for moral support. I’m going to meet up with that guy from yesterday again, and he said he was going to come with his friend, so I need you to come with me to talk to the friend so I can get some alone time with the other guy. You can’t refuse me. You owe me, you know.”

“Okay, sure,” Nora replied, not really in the mood for an argument. If she was being truthful to herself, she knew that she was not as averse to seeing Austin again as she was letting on. Hell, she was dying to see him again, despite her embarrassment. For some reason, she could not get his handsome face out of her head, so later that evening, she dressed up, making sure to look her sexiest, and followed Sally to the bar.
