Bella's POV

I was taken aback by the statement, if Ava didn't like anyone, then who did she like? I wondered, and played along, " Don't you think that it's not good to be at loggerheads with everyone?" I said.

He stared at me in more suspicion, " Who are you and what have you done to my girlfriend?" He asked playfully as he shook his head gently in disbelief that I, or rather, Ava could change.

He snorted at my response, " You don't forgive people that easily. Hearing you speak to Luke is still a surprise." He said and I shook my head. That lady must have been a bad woman for him not to believe that she could change.

I mean I had seen firsthand, how she could be but j didn't believe that it was this bad. I didn't want him to continue having that impression about me, but I smiled. Anyway, I'll soon be leaving his life for good.

"You've been staring at me a lot lately. Don't tell me you are falling in love with me. I assure you it will not end well." He said without mincing words.
