Chapter Fifteen
After the very long and eventful meeting I had with Toby, it was now time for me to have a tough meeting with Lukas, where he's gonna learn some tough truths. I didn't know how I was gonna tell him, was I just gonna come out with or let him down easy?
I walk with Toby back to the main room, the whole way that same smirk did not leave his lips, in his mind he had won this round, but he doesn't know that I'm just getting started. As the doors open, Lukas was throwing a rubber band ball in the air, while Brandon was busily typing on his laptop, but by his face I could tell that he was frustrated.
"All I'm saying is, Batman has more going for him than Superman" Lukas says throwing the ball so high it hit the ceiling, then bounced off and was inches from hitting Brandon on the head.

After my meeting with Lukas, I thought he'd just wanna sit and try to take in all the new information he just learnt. But he was the opposite, he was more talkative than ever! She was a little shocked at the way I spoke to her, but nods her head leading us over to the kitchen to sit at the table. I didn't know where that side of me even came from back there, but admittedly I enjoyed it which was shocking. Peter was whisked away back to alliance for help, it was quickly determined that Luisa was indeed dead. All of this could have been avoided if she would have just played ball, but Ricard got his claws in her years ago which prevented that. Brandon hadn't said a word since it happened, once again this is the first time a situation like this has happened to him, the first ones are always the hardest. I was sat at the kitchen table filling out a report, I knew from experience that it was better to do this now rather than later. As I leave the house I see all the alliance chaos, there were about thirty cars and vans in front of the house. Tape going around it so none of the pack members could enter, who just stood the opposite side of the tape to see what was happening. Everyone just stares up and the scared guy looking down at us, you could tell that he didn't want to be standing on the edge. Something was telling me to run up the stairs and help him, I also knew Toby wouldn't let me do that. I take a look to Morgan, who could just read me like a book. We walk down the stairs in the pack house, the bomb squad start shouting for us and anyone that was left to get out. Henry just shook with fear as we went, I place my hand on his shoulder as we reach the bottom and head towards the door. "People are gonna hate me when they find out" he says nervously as we reach the door, the whole pack was still waiting behind the barrier. "We won't discus this with anyone, I told you we were going to get you help" Toby says turning to look at Henry, I send Toby a smile before we all walk through the doors leading outside. The car ride to the alliance was silent, I could just tell by the way Brandon was acting that he wasn't happy. But I didn't actually understand why, having a new member on our team will be great. We finished just before the end of the stack of papers, I would have carried on but Julian was literally falling asleep. I could have forced him to carry on but that wouldn't have been right, I also know what next two people will be on that list. We went to bed around 2am, still Morgan and Toby wasn't back, I was growing worried but I knew if something happened I would have heard about it. Waking up this morning alone was weird, for the last few weeks I've had Toby waking up beside me. But it did mean that I could get up bright and early and start work, the list of victims will be finished in less than an hour so we could get on with more work. It was around 6am when I walk into the main room, Brandon, Julian and Lukas were already there waiting, but no Morgan.
