Chapter 17

A sip of wine was never enough to relieve Audrey’s nerves. She was playing tough in front of Harrison Smith while having a brief discussion regarding their future collaboration but the truth was, her system was in red alert to prevent the chaos inside her, or she might blurt out something unnecessary.

Plus, there was a certain man who couldn’t keep his eyes on something but her. Audrey wanted to roll her eyes on Shane when the latter silently gaped at her. If she was in her teenage years, she’d probably shriek like a manic fangirl, but she already grew up. Shane had gone older too, and a few days ago before she stepped out at the arrival door of the airport, she swore she would never fall for him again. At least, that’s what she thought which later on, after their confrontation, she realized it wasn’t as easy as she thought it would be.
