“Nate… you… you kissed me!” Audrey shrieked when she recovered from that mind-blowing gesture that her assistant did. “Are you nuts?!”
Nathan who just also realized what he did, scratched the back of his head. He didn’t regret it, nor he wanted to regret it. In fact, he always wanted to do it, but he was holding it in. He knew that Audrey was a married woman, and she only considered him as her friend. It would be weird if he kissed her, but he actually did. “Ahem. I was so worried. You drove here all by yourself and knowing your condition didn’t help me calm for even a second,” he said as a matter of fact. He was not lying about being worried and the part where he couldn’t calm down was as real as the kiss they just had.
Audrey looked away and uncon
“Ms. Audrey, should I invite the young master inside? The sky suddenly went so dark with rain clouds, it must be going to pour heavily tonight,” the housekeeper said while watching her eat dinner. It was already past 7 in the evening and Audrey decided to eat something before she continued reading the book that caught her interest.“Rebecca, the sky would definitely turn dark since it's been a few hours that the sun had set. As for the rain clouds, he should know better if it's going to rain or not since he had been standing there outside since the morning,” Audrey commented and kept on munching her food. Honestly, she was still angry with what Shane did but it was slowly subsiding as time went by. Even so, it wasn’t enough to just simply accept his apology. Well, even Shane would apologize to her every day, she could never have brushed off the fact that he lied to her face.
How convenient it was to scream while crying in the middle of the rain. Audrey felt both colds from the rainwater and the warmth coming from Shane’s embrace. It was like the scene filmed under the bad weather where the main characters were soaking wet while letting out all their pent-up emotions. Shane caressed her back, whispering comforting words to her but to no avail, she could even barely hear it. Audrey could only listen to the sound of melancholic melody brought by the rain and the anxious beats of her heart which seemed to waver, again. If life was a battle and the losers were those who suffer the most while the winners are those on top, enjoying the success and all… Audrey would be neither. She had almost everything that not most of the girls have but wanted: money, beauty, and fame (she was known in her field of the profession) but was she actually a winner in life? No, because she was not happy? Yes,
Audrey’s moans were like music to his ears. Shane dipped his tongue deeper into her entrance as he inserted his finger as well. They only did it once before and Audrey’s thing looked beautiful as it was when he hadn’t rammed its inside yet. The fact that he took her first was one of the reasons why he couldn’t let go of her. She was his responsibility the moment she offered her everything to him.“AHH!” She pulled his hair when he increased the speed of his moving finger. He took a peek at Audrey’s flushed face. She looked so damn hot with her mouth slightly open and her needy eyes looking at him. Looking at her with that face, Shane wanted to do her hard.He didn’t plan to waste any minute, so he let go of Audrey’s leg and pushed her on the wall. She looked at him biting her lips as she was trying to emit any sou
The bright sunlight illuminated the entire bedroom. The downpour was over and the low pressure must have probably left the area. Based on how the sun was shining radiantly, a nice day was expected ahead.Audrey felt sore all around her body. After she accepted Shane’s proposal last night, she remembered they had a lot of fun, but she could barely recall how she ended up on the bed with her pajamas on. She moved to her side to see if Shane was there but to her disappointment, he wasn’t. She thought that maybe he went downstairs to get her food just like the last time. Audrey decided to go back to sleep to have enough rest. Without her knowing, another storm was broiling.&
The clock struck at five in the afternoon and the sun was ready to set, spreading its reddish light in the sky. The day was coming to an end and the nightfall was on its way to dominating half of the world. Birds could be seen flying in flocks up in the air, heading somewhere on earth. Their silhouettes were emphasized by the glowing lights of the sunset. It was a breathtaking view with a hint of sadness like a story was about to end and another milestone was needed to be achieved to suffice with the darkness brought by the upcoming night.Audrey was quietly staring outside from the window in the master’s bedroom, listening to the fucking sound of the clock. She spent most of the day waiting for Shane but the man didn’t show up yet. A sigh escaped her mouth as she checked the time on her wristwatch. “An hour before the restaurant opens. It’s time to go,” Audrey murmured and turned around to the
Droplets of sweats started to soak Audrey’s face. The car’s air conditioner was working fine and the humidity was not the usual since it was getting late, the temperature was dropping low. But oh, her hands were tightly grasping on the steering wheel, and maneuvering the car in the middle of the broad highway was scaring the hell out of her.“Come on, Auddie. Breath…” Nathan said and shook his head. It had been thirty minutes since they left the estate, but they were still on the road when it supposedly didn’t take at least twenty minutes to reach the restaurant.“I’m breathing, Nate. Don’t talk to me,” she responded and took a let out a deep breath. Audrey was aware she was holding her breath all along, but she hated to admit it. Not, when she realized how full of herself she was before she got to settle o
The third day of the pre-open was busier despite having fewer people coming in to dine. A piece of sweet instrumental music was played in the background, giving off a pleasant vibe to everyone inside the building. There were a couple of waitresses and a waiter who kept running the errands between the guests and the chefs in the kitchen. They moved in a calm and calculated manner just like how Nathan trained them before but the efficiency was of high quality, making sure that everyone they served enjoys their brief stay as they savored the dishes on their plates. There were only an hour and a half left before the closing of the restaurant. Some guests who came first left one after another after a small chat with Audrey who occasionally had to leave the kitchen if she had to present herself by the customer’s request. Nathan would be in her place as she spent a minute or two with the guests, though the head chef personall
“Cheers!”The joyous laughter scattered in the air outside in the gazebo where a barbecue party was being held. The table was filled with sizzling, barbecued meat bathing in sweet and spicy sauce specifically made by the head chef and also topped with fresh lettuce and sliced tomatoes on a plate, beer cans and wine bottles, a bowl of fruit salad prepared by Nathan on the last minute for those who prefer to have desserts and toasted bread though most of them didn’t have any idea who put a plateful of bread, not that anyone asked about it.“This is fun!” Audrey exclaimed while holding up her wine glass and later emptied it. “We should party like this from time to time,” she added and joined Nathan who was busy barbecuing the meat, leaving the empty glass on the table.
