Evan slashed water onto his face. His body still reeled from the emotional turmoil that lingered within him.

The memory of his fall and the subsequent gaze into Evelyn's eyes, which had left his heart racing, remained vivid in his mind.

He couldn't shake off the feeling, and the water's coolness did little to calm his nerves. His heart continued to pound in his chest.

He placed his hand on his chest and leaning against the door, he struggled to regain composure.

Evelyn was no less calm. Her encounter with Evan had left her shaken, and Marlie's concern was evident as she helped her daughter settle down.

"Are you alright, dear? Where's Mark?" She asked, her voice laced with worry.

Evelyn recounted everything that happened back there, ofcourse leaving out that part.

Phil was listening intently, his expression a mix of curiosity and relief. "Oh, that's why," he murmured, grateful that the situation wasn't as serious as he had imagined.
