[ Adeline ]

I was up early even before the crack of the dawn to stroll through the vineyard for a morning walk since I had no mood for workout. I hadn't checked my phone since we took off from the home and I had no intentions to check upon anyone.

I want to live these seven days without worrying for the people who only gave me pain, except my mother.

I decided to call her as I missed her. I dialled her number and waited for her to pick up since she's an early riser whereas my father sleeps till late.

She picked the phone in the last ring.

"Hey, Mom, good morning." I wished her.

"It's twelve am in the midnight, darling. You nearly gave me a heart attack. It's good I do not sleep in the same room as your father." She replied in a very sleepy voice when I realized how big fool I was to call her without realising that there was time zone difference.

I mentally slapped myself.

"Sorry, Mom, it totally slipped from my mind. You can go back to sleep. I'll call you later." I apologized sincere
