Crystal’s POV
With my numb limbs, we quickly went after the man who was running as if someone was chasing after him. Even though his screams were loud enough to take the attention of the many people around, they don’t seem to mind the man running for his life. They continued partying like nothing was happening around them.
As we run after the man, I realized that we were getting farther and farther away from the town square. The road had become rocky and steep by the time I noticed that we were taking the road to the forest.

I stumbled on a big rock, and I fell on the ground. I winced in pain when my hands pressed against the thorns growing on the side of the road.
