14. Mysterious Plans

LEO POV

My thoughts wandered off to the previous night. Jude had visited my office with some updates and while I perused the papers, we discussed.

“Have you seen Emily this evening,” I asked, feigning indifference.

“Yeah, she’s heading home now. I told her you’re working late tonight,” Jude said.

“Hmmm,” I muttered and closed the document. “She had the nerve to leave while I was still in the office,” I mumbled and stood up.

“Where are you going?” Jude asked but I rushed out in a hurry. Emily was taking a larger part of my thoughts and it infuriated me. I’ve never had to think about a woman before.
