Hybrid

"Hahahaha!!!"

I laughed quite loudly after listening to all the words said by Elijah, Emrys and Josiah over there. I felt both funny and amused as I tried to understand each of their words about my own identity now. Even more so when I looked right at the faces of Elijah, Emrys, and also Josiah who began to show a confused expression while looking at me who was still laughing now. I tried to stop my laughter even though it was very difficult. That instantly made Elijah's hand grip on my shoulder become loose, and he began to frown quite deeply there.

"Gosh... hahaha... gosh, I can't stop laughing. Ehem... pfftt... that's so funny. I mean, you guys are saying that I'm a hybrid now? Half werewolf and half witch?"

I looked back at Elijah, Emrys, and Josiah with a curl of my lips to contain my laughter now. I also blinked my eyelids a few times.

"Yes, Luciana. We're trying to say that you're no longer an ordinary werewolf. But a hybrid. Half werewolf and half witch."

Elijah muttered as he nodded his head in quick movements. His uniquely bright hazel-colored eyes immediately looked at me seriously.

"But this all sounds so ridiculous, Elijah. I mean, how can a werewolf just turn into a hybrid? As far as I know, hybrids are born only by the combination of two types of immortal beings from the father's genes and also the mother's genes. Then how could I, who was born a werewolf, just turn into a hybrid. Even more so as half werewolf and half witch. How can I understand that? That's ridiculous, Elijah. I'm pretty sure that my wolf soul just fell asleep for a moment, and she will definitely wake up again later. My wolf soul and I shared the same life and the same body for nineteen years. We are inseparable and cannot be replaced by any other soul strength." I mumbled in order to be able to say about the many things I was feeling to Elijah over there right now.

"This may all sound very silly and ridiculous to you right now, Luciana. But it is the truth. You are now a hybrid. Half werewolf and half witch. It all also sounds pretty impossible about turning a werewolf into a hybrid without the help of two different immortal genes. What's more, you've only been sober for a year."

Elijah immediately paused his words that were said in a very loud tone of voice to me. Moreover, when Elijah began to answer my words with such a loud tone of voice, it immediately made me gasp because of that. I think Elijah, who was now pausing his speech, realized that I gasped.

"But trust me, Luciana. All of this is true and real. For a year, Emrys and Josiah and I tried various ways to revive your wolf soul, but to no effect. There was no change in your wolf soul whatsoever. That's why Emrys and Josiah suggested performing the rarest and most difficult magic method possible."

Elijah again paused his words and turned his head to look right at Emrys and Josiah there. And I who was getting silent with my head slightly bowed now too. I tried to calm myself down and kept listening to Elijah's explanation.

"Even after successfully infusing the power of the witch's soul in your body, Emrys and Josiah were unconscious for a whole month. They lost their strength and energy to help you. Self-transforming magic is quite difficult for them to do. But they forced themselves to help you. That's why..." Elijah looked back at me. That made me feel even more speechless and guilty about my laughter.

"You must believe that this is the truth. In your body right now, the most dominating power is your witch soul. As long as your witch soul has more control over your body, then you will definitely recover soon. And perhaps over time, your wolf soul will also wake up and recover."

"Does that mean..." I swallowed my saliva with difficulty. I raised my head and my gaze slightly to look right at Elijah who was still looking at me there.

"Does that mean that until the right time, my wolf soul still won't wake up? And I won't be able to shift into a werewolf like I used to? Will I... also be able to become a witch completely? And lose my true identity as a werewolf, is that it?"

I asked in a low tone of voice. It was bitter and suffocating when I had to ask Elijah, Emrys and Josiah all those things right now. Only my wolf soul could still remind me of my identity as a werewolf. The future Luna of The Crescent Moon Pack. Something I've always been proud of. My wolf soul, wouldn't be able to accompany me to avenge us later?

"Not for the time being, Luciana... it will take much more time for your wolf soul to recover. Moreover, with the existence of the witch's soul power inside your body now, it will certainly give it much more time to adjust. Given that the werewolf soul and also the witch soul have very different strengths. Therefore, you yourself also need to learn to be able to control both powers within yourself now."

Josiah explained slowly now. Emrys also seemed to be nodding his head. I fell silent and let out my breath slowly. I closed my eyelids for a moment now, and began to digest all the information that Elijah, Emrys, and Josiah had just given and explained there now.

"I'll try..." I opened my eyelids and looked right at Elijah, Emrys, and Josiah over there with a faint look in my eyes. I felt anxious.

"I will try to be able to practice controlling these two powers that I now have in my body. I'm not going to interrupt or make this ridiculous anymore. I apologize for my earlier behavior. I just find it hard to understand all of it. I can't believe that I'm a hybrid now."

I paused for a moment and let out my breath there.

"I'm sorry, and also thank you very much. I'm so grateful to be able to meet you in my second chance at this life now. I don't know what would have happened and what I could have done without the help you guys have given me. Thank you so much..."

I muttered as I looked right at Emrys, Josiah, and Elijah in turn there now. That instantly made my eyes start to well up with tears, and I was crying with small sobs now. I bowed my head deeply enough to be able to muffle my own tears right now.

But a second later what I felt was warmth. Someone was hugging me. And it was Emrys. This middle-aged woman witch hugged me very tightly. And that instantly made me cry and sob harder than before. I couldn't stop myself from doing all those things right now. Emrys stretched her arms around my body and gave me a small stroke on my back. And I started to hug her back.

"You're welcome dear. All the prayers you made to the Moon Goddess have been answered now. Don't worry about anything. All of us will definitely help you. Your presence here is enough to bring another color to the pack. We will also take care of you and help you to recover soon."

Emrys released his embrace and wiped my tear-stained face. Not long after that, Josiah walked over and gently rubbed the top of my head. And I could see the comforting smiles on both of their faces towards me right now. I smiled slightly as I nodded my head in a slow motion. I knew and was also aware of that.

The three of them, Elijah, Emrys and Josiah would provide any help they could for me. And that made me think, if only maybe this whole situation would really be okay now.

I've got a new family that will provide all the support and help they can to help me recover myself now. Even so, I can't stop myself from wondering about something else that is very important right now.

The Crescent Moon Pack's heirloom. I feel worried about the whereabouts of that heirloom right now. I had not been able to guard it with my own two hands for the past year. Remembering back to when Elijah said that The Crescent Moon Pack had been burned to the ground, I felt very worried now.

About the condition of the heirloom belonging to The Crescent Moon Pack now. About the condition of the heirloom, the only thing I have left to be able to remember my entire family now. I hope that Harrison will never be able to find it. But I must be able to confirm that for myself now. Therefore, I must recover quickly. I can't waste any more time now.

"Can... can you guys help me again?" I quickly muttered and looked right at Elijah, Emrys, and Josiah in front of me right now.

"Of course. What do you need help with?" Emrys asked slowly. I paused and swallowed my saliva slowly.

"I want to go and see how my old pack is doing. The Crescent Moon Pack. I want to know about how my pack is doing now. For an entire year, I, who was in an unconscious state, had absolutely no idea what condition The Crescent Moon Pack was in. I... I'm also curious about the condition of my family heirloom that I still have hidden inside the pack's basement. I want to check it myself. I... I'm scared and also worried in case they manage to find and seize The Crescent Moon Pack heirloom that I had hidden inside the basement a year ago." I muttered and immediately explained everything to the three of them there now.

"Your condition is still not recovered. Wait for the next few days." Josiah muttered. But I immediately shook my head in a very quick motion now.

"No, no. I can't wait for the next few days anymore. I need to find out about all this now. I have to go alone for that." I muttered with panic and anxiety.

"Then, let me accompany you to your pack, Luciana. I will go with you." Elijah said.
