Natasha's POV

I'm in my bedroom, snuggled up in my soft, warm bed. Suddenly, I hear a loud thunk from downstairs. I open my eyes, bleary and disoriented, and I realize that Lucien is splitting wood outside. I cringe at the noise and pull my baby closer to me, trying to shield her from the sound. "Why does he have to do that so early?" I mutter to myself. I can feel a headache forming, and I sigh, knowing that it's going to be a long day.

I slowly push myself out of bed and make my way to the window. I pull back the curtains, the sunlight streaming in, and I see the scene outside. Jacob and Lucien are shirtless, their muscles rippling as they swing their axes with a practiced ease. The wood they're chopping comes from a stack near the house, and I wonder where they got it. I stand there, mesmerized by the sight, as they work in perfect tandem. It's a strange but oddly comforting sight, and I find myself unable to look away.
