Vastria just got to the dining room for lunch when her father came in behind her. “Seems you were quite busy this morning with those books, my dear.”
She turned around to her father before taking her seat. “Yes, I woke early and did not notice how much time had passed. I did not mean to worry you.”
Lily Rosenburg arrived at the mansion early morning. She had brought with her three black SUVs. Vastria, her father, Elcid, and a few servants awaited her arrival on the steps of the mansion. The SUVs was led by a limo and four street bikes escorting Lily Rosenberg as she made the long journey to meet with Vastria and her father to discuss the banquet. Lily got out of the limo with a large smile as she looked at the mansion. She set her eyes on Vastria rushing towards her to embrace her in a hug. “Good mo
Soon as Vastria and Elcid was alone, Elcid started to pace. Vastria watched her do this wondering what must be wrong since she did not answer her yet. “Elcid, tell me the news you have for me.” She crossed her arms.“Lady Vastria, we cannot go into the forest this soon.” Elcid stopped and looked to Vastria sternly. Her eyes filled with worry.
Vastria could not put herself to sleep. She spent hours in bed pondering on what to do. She wonders if her decision would bring repercussions. She worried for Meagan, worried for her new family, and worried if she would bring a downfall upon herself. Vastria have not yet made her decision, she knew in the morning she needed to have that decision, but it was a hard task. She laid in bed staring at the ceiling feeling tired, but she could not sleep.
Vastria had just finished meditating when Elcid knocked on her bedroom door. She felt ready to venture into the forest. She just needed to tell Elcid her final decision. As Elcid entered Vastria’s room, servants followed with breakfast. Vastria had requested breakfast in her room that morning. The servants quickly set up breakfast and left Elcid and Vastria alone. Vastria took a seat and looked at her breakfast with a smile before looking up to Elcid.
Elcid and Vastria stayed hidden in the shrubs. Afraid they may be found out, Vastria pulls a cloaking spell over them so the rogue vampires in the clearing cannot sense them there. There were about ten rogue vampires in the clearing lit by torches. They were dressed all in black, black jeans and plain black t-shirt. They were surrounding a small furry heap in the center of them towards the other end of the clearing. A werewolf pup in wolf form. The pup was whimpering in the net that it was held in.
Vastria and Elcid was taken back to the fire lit clearing. As they got there the other rogues turned around shocked after teasing the pup that still laid on the ground in the net. “What do we have here?” The rogue vampire who led this group said as he stepped closer to Vastria and Elcid.
Vastria knelt and took the net off the pup on the ground. The pup remained still. She rubbed the pup’s head to get its attention. Soon as she laid her hand on the pup’s head, the pup bit her arm. Blood spilled as the pup growled staring at Vastria shaking with fear. “Lady Vastria!” Elcid ran over to help.
The three walked through the entrance gate and passed the passerby werewolves. As they walked through all the werewolves stopped to stare. They did not dare to whisper to each other, but they stared watching them pass by. They did not break their contact until they passed the center of the village, passed the bon fire pit that was blazing high.Vastria and Elcid followed silently looking about the village. The pups were being gathered at one end of the center of the village with the fire pit, but they too were s
