Isabeau's POV

"What are you doing, Isa? Are you really going to just let them catch us? You're a smart girl, think. We can escape this situation unscathed." Aello cheers me on and some of my evaporated courage returns.

She's right. If I let something as little as this deter me then there's no way I'll be able to get King Stellan to marry me. Think, Isa, think. There must be some way out of this.

I'm currently faced with two enemies, this snake and those scouts. If I take out one, the other will attack me so the only sensible option is to turn the situation in my favor by making my enemies attack each. Yes! That's it!

Mustering all my courage, I swiftly catch the snake by the head and it hisses and wriggles in my grasp. I unwrap it from my leg and pause. As soon as the scouts are only a foot away from me, I throw the snake at them.
