Chapter 11 : Unexpected Turn

I froze on my spot. I felt like my heart sank. I understood what he said, but it was too good to be true that I couldn’t help but be stupefied.

He was granting me the rights of the Queen? Was that even possible? I was just a mistress, how could he possibly bestow me such power and responsibility…

“D-declan…” I uttered his name. I didn’t even care if there were a lot watching. I wasn’t frightened by the fact that they might kill me right on the spot for calling their King by his name. I was more focused on him.

Why would he strip off the Queen’s rights to give it to me? Did he really intend to give it to me? To stop Devra from her evil plans? To secure my safetyness? Wouldn’t that put him in a tight position? She was a Queen. His followers might not like it. What if they object?
