After being forced to eat, Marlie brushed her teeth, took her bath, and then she was forced into a corset that squeezed tightly against her skin. A dress that fell lower than her ankles was zipped over it and then she was told to put her feet into shoes she couldn’t even walk in. Twice she had nearly fallen on her face, and it was close to the third time that Zhander had taken pity on her and given her slippers instead.
