Chapter 17: Uncomfortable Ride

The next morning, Valerie was sitting in bed when Lucia scrolled past her to look for where her clothes were kept. They were still not in talking terms but Valerie liked being the bigger person so she decided to apologise to Lucia.

Lucia was her only female friend, sort of, and she didn't want to lose that. "Lucia, are we really gonna fight like this?" She stood up from her bed and walked towards Lucia.

Lucia acted like she didn't hear her, she just kept searching her wardrobe for the clothes to wear.

"Lucia..."

She turned to face Valerie immediately. "You know what you're doing right? You're just new here, you can't fight and you can't defend yourself. You're making your brother's mistake by making wrong decisions. Getting mixed up with Haunter will only get you in trouble with the boss, why don't you just stay in one place and not get into trouble with the boss" she fired at her immediately.

"I'm not afraid of Martin!" Valerie replied back to her.

"Yes that's what you would say but
