Chapter 6

Artemis' POV

He turned off the light of the flashlight he was holding, causing my eyes to briefly adjust to the darkness.

I don't know but I could feel my heart beating faster when I heard his little voice until my lips completely parted when I saw the boy who looked exactly like his father. He was staring at me as if I were a chemical in a science laboratory that he needed to study. He let out one more smile before he turned on the lamp next to me.

"Why did they lock you up here? And why did they tie you up like a beast?” he asked. As it approached me, my heart seemed like a madman who wanted to get out of its prison. I bit my lip hard while still staring at him. It's Hades. My son.

"Are you a beast that changes into human form?" he asked in confusion. He even looks innocently curious.

“But it's impossible though? And can't you talk?" he asked me again.

"I can. What are you doing here? It's dangerous wandering around at night," I said to him so I saw how he stared at me for a moment.
