"Woah... Congratulation, baby. I'm so happy for you..." He said genuienly.

"Thanks.." Eva smiled and sighed happily.

"Well, what about we celebrate it?" Leo said excitedly.

"Isn't it to early for that?" She chuckled. Leo was a little over too excited sometimes.

"Yeah. But I know that they will accept you. You are the most brilliant and hard working person I've every know!"

With that Eva laugh. She didn't care people looked at her because she was laughing on the phone, walking along the side road.

"Yeah, yeah... But that can wait. I need my real, good night sleeping beauty, this time." She said and Leo whined on the other side.

"Baby... Is that mean I can't see you tonight?" She could imagine his handsome face pouted and she grinned.

"No."

"Not even a couple of minutes?"

"Nope."

"My God, you are so mean. Too bad I like you so much..." He laughed but Eva only smiled in guilty.

"But, if that's mean I'll have you all for myself after the interview, then I will let it go..." He said cheekily.

"Ok. Fine. Deal." Eva shook her head lightly but the smile stay on her beautiful face.

"Awesome! Promise?" He tried to make sure of it.

"Promise!" She said softly.

"Great! Are you still on the way home?" He asked.

"Yeah, why?" She was looking at a mini-market nearby and decided to stop and buy some groceries she need.

"Be careful beb, just walk straight home, okay?" He sounded worried.

"Yeah, okay." She answered him briefly.

"Okay, I'm gonna hung up, now. Byee..." She wanted to enjoy her brief shopping for today and didn't want any noise come from him.

"Okay, bye. I love you..." He gave up the urge to remind her again and again to go straight home and wave her goodbye.

"Yup." And she hung up.

For a moment Eva walked like nothing happen but then her steps got slower when Leo's sad expression came into her mind.

He tried to hide it. But she could see his sad and dissapointment, every time she didn't say those three words back.

I love you.

Eva gulped and she felt like swallowing rocks.

She can't say those simple yet meaningful words.

She likes him. Yes. But love? No. Not yet at least.

It's really hard for her to love someone else after her past relationship.

And Leo knew about this.

The first time they met and started to seeing each other six months ago, Eva never hide anything from him.

She told Leo everything about her past relationship, that made her difficult to move on. Leo asked her repeatedly to open her heart for him and she refused it.

After saw his effort to win her heart, she finally gave in.

She agreed to be his girlfriend with two conditions. They must take this slowly and he need to understand, that she was trying to be free from her guilt, feelings for her past relationship.

And he agreed.

But now she started to think, maybe she also need to understand him too.

It's time for her to start open her heart for Leo. He deserves her love too..

**

In the morning, she prepared herself with her best effort.

A baby blue blouse with V line that didn't show so much of her white porcelaine skin, tuck to the skirt. Skirt that reached just a little above her knees, hugged her waist and thigh so perfectly shows its curve. Skin color stocking, a pair of black, short high-heels.

Her hair tied in a pony tail, showed her slender, smooth neck.

She looked at herself in the mirror and she nodded statisfied.

Good. She looked fine. She need to look her best because W company is a big one. She surely earn a lot if she works there.

After checking her appearance one more time, she smiled and ready to go.

The building is so tall, she couldn't see the top of it even after her neck hurt looked up to the sky.

Wow, this is a really good opportunity, she thought.

She came in and the interior screamed luxurury right in front of her eyes.

Eva talked to the receptionist and she immediately guide by one of them to the second highest floor, and waited in a some kind of meeting room.

When she thought about it again, she almost slap her own forehead.

She forgot to search more about this company. All she know was only quick reading on the job offering, that she find on their website.

Shit. But she need to be confident about this. They can't see her nervous or anything like that, or they will think she isn't ready for this interview.

Which was half true.

She was too excited and ended up didn't pay attention more to this company background.

She cursed lowly once again while tapping on her phone, trying to search something online.

A knock on the door made her stopped and quickly straighten her posture and smile.

A man, walked in. He looked like he was in his forties, Eva guessed.

"Good morning, Miss Evangeline. I'm sorry to keep you waiting." He said friendly.

Her shoulder ease a bit while she felt this man was an easy going one. But she still kept her formalities, of course.

"Good morning, sir. That's fine with me." She said smile softly.

"Right," He took a seat across from her.

"Let me introduce myself, my name's John Eran. I am the head of HR, I once the secretary for the former president but now, we need someone that capable to take the position." Eva smiled and nodded in understanding.

"Shall we begin?"

Eva nodded and the interview started.

"Congratulation, Miss..." John, the head of HR, reached his hand and took hers and they shook hands formally.

Eva still looked at him with wide-eye, because she didn't believe what she just heard.

"Are you sure? I-I mean. I got the job?" She asked him in disbelieve.

"Yes. Now, we'll talk about the contract." John open a document that was specifically a contract for this job.

Wow, that was fast, she thought.

Not that she didn't happy. She was delightful.

But something was a bit off.

No other applicants? Only her? That's odd.

After she thought she finished read about the rules and all, she signed the contract.

"Well, done. congratulation once again Miss Evangeline. You are officially join our company." John said politely.

"Thank you so much. I'll do my best." She was of course delightful.

"Ah yes. I need to tell you something that, Mr. President, is sick. So the Young Mr. Wayne will be on duty." He smiled.

But Eva's smiled faded from her beautiful face.

"Mr. Wayne?" She didn't heard that wrong right?

Wait. Didn't she read everything already?

"Yes. Mr. Wayne. Mr. Lucas Wayne is sick. So, his son will replace him. It's already six months since Mr. Wayne couldn't attend the company business. Thank God, the young Master is here." He said cheerfully. His tone was so relieved.

But that different with the young beautiful woman in front of him.

Eva felt like her palm suddenly cold. Her heart beat faster than before.

A knock on the door made her almost jump on her seat.

But the voice came through after that was the one that made her heart almost pop out of its place.

"Mr. Eran, may I have a moment..."

Ria looked at the man who still grabbing the handle door.

And that man looked at her just as surprised as she.

She hold her breath and tried to avoid his sharp gaze on her but she failed.

"Mr. Wayne, come in." John stood up and greeted him with smile.

"Oh, this is the new secretary. You told me to hire the new one for you." John introduced her to him.

The man stepped inside with eyes still on her. Eva gulped down tried her best not to look panick.

"Miss Evangeline, this is Mr. Alexander Wayne, your boss...."
