Maya blinked. She felt as if she said yes. She would have been lying. Deep down, Maya knew that even after all this time, all the hardships, and how Alexander left her so easily, he still had a piece of her heart that would belong to him forever.
Maya knew that if things were different if they were possible, she would be with Alexander in a heartbeat. Regardless of what was happening between Alexander and Stephanie, it was not her business anymore.
Even if Stephanie kept on insisting it was her fault. Maya really did not believe that one bit. It was a surprising thing when she first heard it, but she knew that it was impossible. Alexander must have just used Maya as an excuse.
