LXXIX: Unfair

It wasn’t cold, but she was feeling cold because of the spite she was receiving from people.

So unfair.

Probably, because of her recent situation, Maya was feeling even more melancholic, to the point of being depressed.

She bitterly smiled as she summed up her situation. It was truly unfair. Yes, that was really the case, but she really did hate that word so much. That was a word that Maya was very familiar with. Damn, she grew up at first thinking that even though she knew that, she just needed to suck it up and get over it.

It was something that she needed to accept.

Why? Because she was an orphan.

When one grew up in a place that one needed to be obedient to be able to get a good family to adopt you, there were things that she needed to deal with. Most of it was unfair, especially when the older kids would treat you as a competitor.
