Chapter 16: Sacrifice

"Mother," Aurora's eyes watered, her features miserable.

"My lady," Luna called, pointing behind her and she turned back to Sebastian who was terribly pale and ashy.

She swiped a hand over her eyes, for ing herself not to cry.

"Bastian, you need to feed," she whispered, rolling up her sleeves and offering him her hand.

He groaned, shuffling away from her. His eyes were bloodshot and his fangs out, he looked about ready to kill anything within sight.

"Do not fight any more, Bastian, you don't have to. Drink." She stretched out her smooth creamy skin to him. He shut his eyes tightly, his claws digging into his skin and drawing blood.

"Aurora, stop," he forced out in great agony.

"Animal blood won't work this time, Bastian, you know it. You want it, you need it, have it."

She placed her hand directly against his nostrils. He shook his head wildly, scurrying back and hitting the wall. She followed, offering her wrist to his sharpened fangs. This time, he bit in sharply with a loud growl.
