Looks Like The Tribe Leader

Here's what happened last time on The Werewolf's Superiority

We have finally arrived at the campsite. One of the security guys comes to meet us. He wants to know what happened to Steve. I walk to the main house and fall asleep. The people wake me up, and Dr. Chloe Addison comes and sits down next to me and starts talking with me. I request the expedition leader to work with the ground penetration radar to look for dig sites. Dr. Chloe Addison follows me everywhere and keeps on talking to me. The ground penetration radar picked up something, and we're busy digging to get to a door hidden in the mountain.

I take a brush and start cleaning the door so that we can see the door more clearly. A crowd is now forming, trying to get a glimpse of the discovery. I call out;

"Where is the photographer?"

"Here he is."

The expedition leader grabs him by the shirt and pushes him towards me, and says;

"Stop standing around and do your fucking job."

The photographer grumbles under his breath;

"Why don't you stop pushing me around and fuck off."

I look at the two and say;

"Guys, why don't the both of you just shut the fuck up, please. We have work to do."

The photographer walks closer to me, and I ask him;

"So, what is your name?"

"Ethan."

I extend my hand to greet him;

"I am Dr. Michael Andrews. You can call me Michael."

"Pleasure to meet you, Michael."

I move out of the way and point to the doorway and tell him;

"I'm not going to tell you how to do your job, but I need every inch of this door photographed and every detail. I am leaving it up to you to do it."

He nods confidently and answers;

"No problem. Let me do my job."

He walks to the door and starts taking photos. I turn to Roman and tell him;

"Get the drone and the night-vision lenses. And the fluorescent glow sticks with the torches."

Roman looks at me surprised and asks;

"Are we going in?"

So I respond;

"Well, we are not here to look at the door. We are here to explore, search and find and also to discover."

I see something move on top of the mountain in the corner of my eye. I look up, and I see someone that looks like the tribe elder. I take a second look to focus on what I am seeing, and he has disappeared. I ask those around me;

"Did anyone see something move on the mountain?"

Everyone shakes their heads. Roman walks up to me with the drone in hand and asks;

"What are you looking at, boss?"

With my eyes squinted, I look around the mountain searching;

"I could have sworn that I saw the tribe leader up there in the mountain."

Roman also starts looking. After a few seconds, he says to me;

"You mean the guy that can disappear into thin air? That guy?"

"Yes."

"Now that guy freaked me out. But I don't see anyone up there."

"I know what you mean. Anyway, do you have the drone?"

"Yes. With extra batteries and ready to go."

"Nice. I am just waiting for the photographer to finish taking photos, and we will then try to get the door open without destroying it."

Roman smiles excitedly and says;

"This seems like a significant find, Dr. Andrews."

"It does look like it. I wonder what is inside."

Ethan finishes the photos. He turns to look at me and says proudly;

"I have captured every detail on the door as requested."

I give him a friendly smile and say;

"Okay. Send those photos off to this email address."

I hand him a business card from my wallet and say;

"Her name is Yasmin. Ask in the email if she recognizes the writing and if she can decipher it."

He nods and says;

"Okay, Michael."

Just as he turns to walk away, I tell him;

"And get back here. I may need you to photograph more stuff if we get the door open."

"Yes, Michael."

I turn to look at Roman and say;

"Let's see if we can get this door open, shall we?"

I walk closer to the door. I step on a flat piece of rock, and I hear a click sound on the other side of the door. I try to push, but the door is not moving. I start to feel around the frame to see if I can not detect something that might stick out. I feel three-round pieces sticking out of the frame. One is on the left side, the other on the right, and the last one on the top part of the frame. I call out;

"Can someone get me the rubber hammer, please?"

Roman hands me the toolbox and says;

"Use whatever you need."

I look at Roman and ask;

"Rubber hammer, please?"

Roman opens the toolbox and hands me the hammer. Ethan comes back running, towards us, and asks;

"What did I miss?"

I smile at him with the hammer in hand and say;

"Nothing. Did you send it?"

"Yes, Michael. I brought my laptop with me. If she answers my email, I will let you know."

I start to inspect the round thing sticking out. I say out loud;

"It looks like something has pushed this round part into the door."

Roman behind me asks;

"Why?"

"It looks like it is a way of sealing the door. It could maybe be a lock of some kind."

I take out the pliers and clamp the round part. Using the rubber hammer, I hit the pliers to see if I could move the round piece out of the frame. I shift my weight off the flat part of the rock, and suddenly the round bar disappears. I put my feet back on the flat rock, and I hear the click sound again, and the three-round parts has reappeared again. With a big smile on my face, I turn to look at everyone around and say;

"I was right. It is a locking mechanism. If you step on this rock, the weight on this rock somehow lets the three-round bars appear. Ethan, can you come to take photos of this. Is someone taking a video of this?"

Someone behind me responds;

"Already busy, Dr. Andrews."

"Thank you!"

Once Ethan is done taking the photos, I try again to knock them on out. I clamp the pliers around the bar, twisting and hitting them. I begin to get angry and hit it hard a few times, and suddenly, the bar has moved a little. Everyone grasps for air as they see it moving. I look around and say;

"Those that say: anger doesn't solve anything...they were so wrong, as they weren't angry enough in that moment."

I hit again, again and again. The round bar is now moving more and more until I get it out of the hole. I put the bar down and tell Ethan;

"Take photos of this as well."

I start knocking the rest out and placing them on the ground next to each other so that Ethan can photograph them. Roman asked me, concerned;

"So, what now?"

I look at the door and say;

"I am not sure, the bars are now out, but nothing is happening."

I walk closer to inspect the doorway again, and as I set unto the flat piece of rock, the seal of the door breaks. Air rushes in at the sides of the door. The ground starts shaking as the door starts moving until it is fully open. We all stand there looking at the entrance. I look at Roman and say;

"So, those three bars kept the door from opening. Send the drone."

Roman sets the drone on the ground and starts flying into the entrance. Everyone wants the drone to stop and to check out the writing on the wall and the art. I tell them;

"We will soon walk into whatever this is. You will have enough time to look at whatever you want to look at on the walls. For now, we need to get the drone to go deep into the cave. We need to see what this place is and what is in it."

Roman slowly flies the drone as far as it can go. He stops the drone in the center of a circular room. The camera keeps looking down, left, and right trying to see what this place is. Roman spins the drone around, and it seems like nothing is in the circular room. Roman asks me;

"There is nothing in here. Doesn't that seem a bit weird?"

I ask him;

"Why have a sealed door if nothing is in there? Something is in this cave. We need to find whatever has hidden in it. Everyone, get the equipment that you need for exploring caves and get the floodlights as we are going in."

Everyone starts cheering and running back to get their equipment. I ask Ethan;

"Any reply on the email you sent?"

"No, nothing yet. It could also be the Wifi here, as I might be out of range."

"Okay. Keep checking. I would like to know what I am walking into before I actually start walking into the cave."

We all start setting up the equipment that we will need to go into the cave. I take the light stand, one of the floodlights and say;

"Roman, you get the other lights and follow me. The rest of you, stay outside until we come back."

I turn around, look at the entrance for a few seconds and start to walk in first. I switch on my flashlight the moment I walk into the doorway of the cave. With my other hand, I tap with the light stand and hit the floor below and the walls to make sure there are no boobytraps set up. As we walk deeper into the cave system, it starts to get colder and colder. There is a stuffy odor the deeper we go with spiderwebs on the walls. I ask Roman;

"How far until we get to that room?"

I listen to my voice echoing in the hallway. Roman answers;

"It shouldn't be too far ahead of us."

I radio to the team outside;

"Switch on the lights, please."

The lights go on. I use it to light the corridor and to lead us to the circular room. I see the entrance and say to Roman;

"There it is, up ahead. I see the entrance to the room."
