Megan plopped down on Alex's chair, tired and a bit angry. She got the news that Elizabeth was allowed to go home and that made her feel like her efforts were a total joke.

"Stop sulking, their stock is plummeting fast and the company wasn't launched" Alex tried to console, rolling up his sleeves. He leaned against his large desk, facing her.

"Layla was wronged! She didn't get her justice"

"You did what you could, Megan. Stop being hard on yourself" Alex pulled her up and sat down, letting her sit on his lap.
