Melting Snow

Noella's POV

This uncomfortable feeling made me avoid eye contact with Mr. Enrick. The previous mistake resulted from my carelessness in touching Mr. Enrick's documents without permission. I was terrified that because of my actions, Mr. Enrick was angry and deservedly cold towards me.

While Mr. Enrick was still silent on the sofa, I kept trying to find the critical document I had lost. However, in between my movements, I faintly heard Mr. Enrick seemingly calling my name. I thought it was just my hallucination, so I resumed my movements to search for the documents.

"How long am I going to be here? Why is the document nowhere to be found? Am I destined to sleep in the office tonight?" My chaotic mind couldn't calm down, especially since Uncle Martin's figure also appeared in my head, making me even more uneasy.
