Out Of Control

Enrick POV

When Noella and I arrived at the house where I was going to spend the night during my stay here, Noella started showing signs of the uncontrollable effects of her hangover. As she got out of the car, she staggered, her face never absent of a wide smile. This was a smile that I rarely saw when she was sober.

Her eyes sparkled with a flash of unearthly joy. She started singing when we reached the doorstep of the house. Her voice sounded cheerful even though I didn't know what she was singing. Before long, she looked at me with the gaze of a lion about to pounce on its prey.

She moved around me with wild movements that I never expected, like a dancer teasing her lover. I tried to restrain myself from bringing that light body into my arms. "Noella, calm down," I said in a soft voice, trying to keep her quiet.

But the more I prevented her, the wilder she teased me. She didn't seem to be listening to what I was saying. She repeatedly called my name in a sweet and playful tone.
