Noella’s POV

Enrick's company was working on many projects this month. That's why the sounds of printers, tapping keyboards, and ringing phones blended into a symphony of corporate life that never seemed to stop. Almost all the employees were excited because of the report deadline. But in the midst of the hustle and bustle, Noella sat at her desk, eyes glued to Enrick's empty desk because the owner had gone somewhere else.

"It feels lonely when he's not there," I muttered weakly, then let out a long breath. "Should there be an important meeting over the weekend?" I lamented, remembering his hectic schedule for the next two weeks.

I looked back at my computer screen that displayed my unfinished work.
